Seems like it would be better to allow those of us who have not even purchased a card yet (because we have been patiently awaiting the hybrids to release since day one) to have a chance to get a hybrid card first, then we can worry about step up hybrid cards for those who may be feeling buyers’ remorse about their early choice of an air cooled card.

This!!! "Coming soon" Sooner than the Hybrid? If so...~cries~

It's been dead for me since 6am this morning.  I could only recently access the site.

Maybe Thanos replaced Jacob and snapped all the 3080s out of existance?

Soon as in today? I'd like to queue for one asap. Goal was always K|NGP|N 3090 or Hybrid 3080.

If it's like the 2080 Ti kpe the ln2 switch will remove temp protections, raise fan curve on vrm fan, and you'll have to get the xoc (no power limit) bios from someone on kingpins team. Last gen it was on Tim's website but it's my understanding that he no longer works for evga. If I remember correctly to get the xoc bios for pascal you had to email Vince with your serial number and stuff and he'd send it to you.

My associates code is O1RWT3TOQ5NNXP8 if you wanna help !e get my EVGA score up :)

If I am in the step up queue for a 3090 FTW and I'm still in the 90 day window, will I be able to shift the step up to the Kingpin instead?

No the kingpins have never been in the stepup list to my knowledge, they are a total custom pcb.

Fingers crossed EVGA does some sort of advanced order/head start for previous Kingpin owners. Although maybe there won't be as much demand, we've yet to see the price tag.

The excitement builds... But how long till they actually get made?
Will the water block version still have the OLED screen since it's connected to the backplate?

Could someone tell me how these Kingpin cards are sold?  Obviously I know that EVERY 30-series card is ridiculously limited right now, so I understand that these will be hard to get just based off of that.  However, I believe I read in a different thread that ALL Kingpin cards have had super limited productions runs...as in they will only make a certain number of them no matter how high demand is, and once that number of cards is sold, no more will ever be made.  Is that true?  I've been buying nothing but EVGA cards for almost 15 years now, but I've never felt the need to get a Kingpin card before.  That said, with these 3090s I really want the most powerful card that money can buy.

I know that no PC hardware is ever "future-proof", but I feel like a Kingpin 3090 with 24 GB of VRAM will be a card that is viable for a LONG time (relatively speaking).  My only requirement as far as gaming goes is 4K resolution, all graphics settings totally maxed out (not necessarily including things like MSAA, etc), and a LOCKED 60 FPS at a bare minimum.  I feel like a heavily overclocked Kingpin 3090 will give me that level of gaming performance for 4-5 years, and I'm not interested in benchmarking competitions or LN2 or taking the card apart or ANYTHING crazy like that.  I just want a 3090 that I can pop into my new gaming rig, move all those overclocking sliders as high as possible and get the best gaming frame rates I possibly can.  With the relatively unimpressive overclocking abilities of these 30-series cards, I feel like the Kingpins are going to be the only cards that are capable of REAL performance gains through overclocking.

Anyway, are we actually going to be able to BUY a Kingpin card if we want one, or are they only going to make like 100 of each of them or something ridiculous like that?  The card I want in particular is the Hydro Copper Kingpin 3090...I'm not interested in the hybrid version.  My backup plan will be the Hydro Copper FTW3 3090, but I'm assuming that those cards will not overclock anywhere CLOSE to the levels that a Hydro Copper 3090 Kingpin card will.

So could those of us inline for the 3090 ftw3’s get first shot at buying these cause I have been inline for the card for 4 weeks now with no notify in sight. I would chuck the extra bucks into buying the kingpin card if I could get in on the first batch or two and not wait a month or more.

I question this. Heat is the limiting factor, and I’m betting my water-chiller cooling loop at 12.8°C will be able to be OC’d faster than the kingpin. If I’m wrong, please someone explain why so I can make the correct decision! As of now I’m under the assumption, with my loop setup, hydro copper is the way to go.

Edit: I just reread and I see you said a “HC kingpin”. You may be right there.

I think I'm going to take the plunge into this deep dark hole. Does the HC have the OLED screen? Sounds like it does from the info page but it's not shown in the render. Would love to see a real pic of the HC. I really think this is the one for me.

It's says the OLED screen attached to the back plate so whether it's an AIO cooler or hydro copper it should remain in place.

Kinda need to know whether there will be an unlimited TDP bios provided with it.  Or unlocked voltage control.

You can buy an Asus TUF card, 5 resistor shunt it, and I2C interface with the voltage controller on the 3 pin header they provide on the board.  For $1600.  The Kingpin being well north of $2k (probably) really needs to offer something impressive, cause the Strix card especially seems like it's an absolute home run in this series with a 1000W PCB and open voltage controller.

Although what you say is undoubtedly true, there are many people out there that would want to buy a card like this that they don't have to physically mod (and risk messing up a $1500+ card) to get it to the point they want it to be.  I've seen people with their FTW3 ordering/waiting on blocks upwards of $400, which puts them in that very same price category as basically this "plug and play" card will be.

360 rad? Ouch. Is that necessary for the OC? Or just for fun because the 360 requirement automatically takes the card out of the equation for me, i already have a 360 on my CPU, can't fit another 360 anywhere...

I feel a 240 would have probably been more than sufficient, just my 2 cents.

So no on the 3090s getting step-up or?

I'm gonna assume no. Jacob's answer for setup on normal 3080/3090 HydroCopper was probably not, so think this would be the same, if not a more solid no.

Cool GTX

!00% there better be a set up for current 3090 ftw3 ultra owners.

A 3090 FTW3 Ultra owner would not have a problem auctioning off their card with a starting bid of $1 without listing is at scalper prices to regain the initial cost of the card if not a bit extra. They could then just buy the KP. It would be awesome to be able to bypass the whole flipping procedure and deal direct with EVGA though. I would jump on that as soon as they announced it.

If Asus is charging $2500 for their top card and it's no where near the level of this card I doubt it. Also anyone disappointed about no step up on 3090 ftw3 last I checked ebay is still a thing and the market is awaiting your listing!
