Ugh, you like your vertically mounted GPU to be one huge EVGA advertisement? 

I don't mind how that looks, particularly when it's a premium label. The design looks nice and sleek to me. The Optimus block though.. now *that* is special.

Both the Hydro Copper and the Block are sliiiiiick!  I don't have the money to build out a loop, so I will have to admire from a distance. 

Don't you lose performance mounting vertical any how?  I have a south bridge water block and if it is much thicker than 1 slot I might have to go vertical anyhow.

I believe that's only with air cooling where the fans may be really close to the side/window of the case. Couldn't find anything about water cooled cards.

That's what I was thinking.  As long as you clear any air from the block (for for the hybrid mount the rad higher than the block) you shouldn't have any issues.  With a low quality PCIe bridge maybe you see some performance hit.  But I think it's more an air flow issue for air cooled card where the proximity of the case (for closed cases) can choke the card.

Yes I was thinking more about the PCIe cable used and the distance from the bus.  I'm building a 5900X on an Aorus Master X570 (CPU in the mail).  To fill the void until I get a 3090, I'll be running my existing 2080Ti that has a fin stack around the water block.  The card is ~2 slots.  The water block I put on the south bridge means I need to run it on a riser.  Since the 3090 is PCIe 4.0 I'll either need a gen 4 cable (like the one from Linkup) or put it directly in the slot.  I like the vertical look but not willing to sacrifice perf over style.  I guess I'll just need to buy the cable and test it out.

Last I heard the kingpin block would not be sold as a stand alone, at least not at launch anyways.

My god, I didn't see that Optimus had a waterblock for the 3090 FTW3. That is truly beautiful. I'm gonna have to get their threadripper block for sure though.

Aw man, this is making me so excited. I can wait to see a close look at the PCB design. It maybe ready to launch with the Hybrids, are you after the HC?
