Hilarious. They're telling me they don't have supervisors available! This guy thinks he's going to charge me money to cross ship me a new graphics card after I spent 1800 dollars.
This is likely going to be my LAST EVGA purchase ever, I'm tempted to go just dispute the transaction with all of this data, get my money back and buy the Strix.
At this rate I should have just kept the Asus TUF I had first!!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER again unless they step up and do something right here.
They are rude on the phone, Jacob flat out ignores people. This is just NOT the evga I used to be proud supporting.

Start a new thread? This thread is about the XOC VBIOS (and it not working for some cards). Monday there should be a supervisor, and I believe they come in at 0700 or 0800 PST. I suggest calling back and being nice while asking for them to cover the shipping if your card died right off. If it's been awhile, I wouldn't expect to get free shipping both ways unless EVGA's Jacob Freeman sees this and talks with you. This isn't Amazon after all :P

Hi guy's long time to sign in here ...so i read all that you wrote here about the issues with the xoc bios.im a owner of ftw3 ultra 3090 ,my card is also "made in Taiwan"but it work fine i think with the xoc bios.sorry for my english isnt my native language. An example 507w after a run at superposition 8k

I took the bios a few weeks ago. Its pertinent to go here. If others with 2014xx cards that took the bios start dying, we could find a trend. Also I want as many people to know about this as possible, especially the potential buyers following this thread. I was told I was going to get to a supervisor, and I've been placed on a seemingly endless hold telling me I'm the next person in queue. ... I think this guy just put me in a blind transfer no mans land.

Also, I messaged Jacob directly 3 times since this bios issue started. I'm not important enough of a customer to get a response apparently. Not sure if buying EVGA cards since the FX series earns anything, well let me phrase, I wasn't previously sure. Now I know he still doesn't give a flying crap about us!! :D

Seriously, if I were within 30 days, I'd return without QUESTION with the type of response this guy has given me on the phone. ZERO care, ZERO empathy that I now have to spend my Sunday night and adjust my work day tomorrow (as I work from home as IT) because of this. They will find out the hard way. My wife send her laptop into ASUS for a repair at the end of August and they just started the repair this week. lol, they have great products, but if you have an RMA issue goodluck.

I have a 2012 made in China card. My card doesn't hit 500w in port royal do I care no. Why because I didn't buy the card because I saw the xoc 500w bios. Honestly if I wanted a 500w+ card I'd buy kingpin which is what I'm waiting on for my que to pop for. Honestly my card has hit 14700 in port royal with stock bios and with XOC it can't and I havent been able to repeat that score. I play call of duty at 2100mhz and +1200 memory and I get 140fps on a 3440x1440 monitor thats all I care about.

When i game i didnt check the temp of the backplate of the card and i can play many hours but tonight when i have try the superposition bench i put my finger on the backplate near the gpu...DAWN i near burn my finger, its soooo hot.
Maybe 90c , i dont know how much this memory can go high in celcius but it scare me.

110C max IIRC for GDDR6X, and near instant skin burning temps start at 70C.

To the best of my knowledge the iCX sensors do not show the rear temps. An IR sensor gun can tell you on non-reflective surfaces. If you are worried, you can always hook up a spare fan to the motherboard and put it on top of your card, but it shouldn't be required if you have decent case airflow.

How do you check for Chinese vs Taiwanese? The sticker on the backplate? Never mind. My board is made in China , the serial number starts with 2012. The 500W Bios does nothing to my card.
