No its the same 3987_BIOS_OC and inside the folder the name and size is the same : update.exe 19 141 ko.

Name is update.exe coz its a simple way under windows to update to this bios, but theres no new update for now. When they will put an update the name 3987 will change.

got ok. Thank you

Yah flashed that and it does not work for me as well. Power draw is equivalent to the 7% bump not the 19% even though that's what I set it to in PX1.

Guess I'll wait till they figure it out....

For me, the normal OC bios was letting the PCIE slot pull slightly over 75W. The XOC beta bios changed something with this limit. I haven't seen over 75 W since flashing the official EVGA XOC beta bios. It seems way more aggressive at keeping slot power below 75W.

No i saw most of the time 78w to 83w from pcie power draw, this is the max not the average.
I have a molex below of my mobo to help graphik card and i  plug it yesterday, i dont know if this make a difference, i didnt do benchmark but i played  games.

Big Problem!!!
I testet a MSI 3090 Gaming X Trio with the 500W-BIOS. This setup pulls too much watts out of the socket (PC shutdown)
I have a 1000W Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium (SSR-1000TR), but is too weak

Which psu can you recommend me?

So the consensus is these beta BIOS wont increase your performance, despite it raises the total board power limit to 500Watt

worked for me, 0 issues and scores to prove its working. Im on air beating out water cooled cards. The oc.exe file I was talking about was provided by someone on this forum. He got it directly from EVGA and wanted me to test it out. Here is some of my score with the bios from the front page of this forum.

I was sent this file from a user on this forums but it did not flash for me or 2 other people on this forum. My results from above are from the front pages bios as stated in my last post.

I run with i9-10980xe at 4.9ghz, i can put it 5.0ghz no problem with my evga 3090 ftw3 ultra oc at max.
My psu is evga-1600 P2, so iam not worry to power all my hdd, water pump, lighting ect.
Even you buy a 1200w psu, you will always have in mind if ur psu is enough, why dont go direct with a 1600w and dont think of it for the next 10 years.

I totally agree. My 1000w seasonic titanium ultra was also shutting down around 900w.
Should have went higher. I just bought 1600w evga titanium and all is well again.

Ok so in the original post it has the xoc bios for the 3090 ftw3 ultra and it also has the original oc bios as well if you want to go back, so I took a screenshot of mine with the xoc bios and then went back to the original oc bios and took a screenshot and the bios version is the same. Something don't seem right.

I use a 1000W Phanteks Revolt X that is actually just a rebrand of your Seasonic. I've had my machine blackout like that with my FTW 3090 and overclocked I9-9900k, but only when it was plugged into a power strip (tried three power strips). When I moved it directly to the wall socket, it hasn't happened since. Also, one of my 12v rails completely died and took down my first FTW3 with it (had to RMA it). The PSU is working fine for now (again, plugged directly into the wall socket), but I'm a little leery of this PSU to be honest.

For a light OC you probably don't need it. Just switch to OC bios on the card itself so it has a more aggressive fan curve, but other than that I wouldn't bother unless you want to push it harder. I tried them, but switched mine back to the original OC bios because it made very little difference for me trying to get a decent benchmark clock.

I have tried the XOC bios for both the normal and OC bios on the 3090 FTW3 Ultra. Still cannot get close to 500 watts, 440 is the most I have seen. Tried the XC3 bios and that did nothing for me either. Just did a TSE run with core @ +220, and memory @ +800. 433 watts was total draw. Leaving a lot on the table here not being able to utilize those bios's.

Lol. GPU-Z won't be reporting the actual, true power draw with the XC3 VBIOS.

For me it'd show 399W at most, but the from the wall power was much higher than the stock 3090 FTW3 VBIOS (450W max, mine didn't go over 440W sustained with the stock VBIOS). The from the wall power increase was around 80W.

The clock speed is much more stable, and over 50MHz higher with the XC3 VBIOS. Benchmarks are all higher too. However, gaming FPS didn't increase much because of the diminishing returns of Ampere.

What are your precision x1 settings?

Also you are not beating other GPUs, your graphic score is lower than some on the list.

Edit: I am interested in these executable files, what do they do? I'd be willing to try it out as well, what youre doing sounds better than flashing to XC3 bios, but I need more clarifications before I 24/7 game doing these side solutions...

Well, thanks for re-confirming what we've all known for the...16th time (or so).

I suppose more data points aren't bad, if EVGA is matching forum names to S/Ns.

Yeah I double checked, when you have the original oc bios flashed and go to use the xoc bios on the 1st page of this post when doing the flash it shows do you want to update the bios from this version to this version and they are the same thing. Something is messed up.

Which psu can you recommend me?

Your PSU should absolutely be fine, unless you have two graphics cards? Is your PSU a single rail or multi-rail? If it’s a multi rail, you can trip OCP by drawing too much power from an 8 pin, but that shouldn’t be happening. The only times I’ve seen that are when you’re drawing way more than 150w on an 8 pin, which we almost certainly are not.
Actually now that I think about it, if there’s multiple 8 pins all connected to one rail, you can overload it for sure. If it is a multi rail PSU, you’ll have to experiment to determine which cables go to which rail and split up your 8 pins between separate rails. I’ve had to do that in the past with Kepler Titans at 425w on two 8 pins.
I ran my PC with the 500w BIOS and peaked at around 710w at the wall socket, plenty of overhead for a 1000w PSU. Of course yours could be a bit more, but not hundreds more unless you’re running another graphics card. Yes, that’s quite odd. You should search online and see if anyone has reported it being possible for your motherboard to power itself down for some kind of over current or thermal protection
I also have an EVGA 1600P2, wanted the T2 but wasn’t in stock at the time. Anyway, it’s a total beast. I’ve seen it handle over 1000w of continuous power draw at the wall socket and not even get hot.

I can confirm that is true, XC3 BIOS power readings aren’t even remotely close in GPU-Z. Although Precision X can read kinda right. If on the main page, not the OSD, and not the graphs, but where you OC everything, if that is showing power throttling, you can assume it’s about 500w of power draw. That’s what my testing showed. Although it’s difficult to determine if other people’s systems are doing something different as nobody’s systems on here appear to be cooperating

I have a 1000W Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium (SSR-1000TR), but is too weak

Which psu can you recommend me?

Hi, are you 100% sure that is your PSU?  The SSR-1000TR is the "Prime TX-1000", not the "Prime Ultra Titanium."  The Prime Ultra Titanium was the old 2017 version.  What exactly does it say on your PSU box?  Does it shutdown (needing a power off and on) or does it just crash?

The older PSU line has problems with high transients with certain video cards.  Although I'm surprised this wasn't caught earlier on Vega 64, where people with Focus PSU's before the OneSeasonic initiative revision were having shutdowns.  The new revisions--e.g. Prime PX-1000 for Platinum, prime TX-1000 for Titanium, should have absolutely no problems whatsoever.

I'm using a Seasonic PX-1000 with my 520W modded 3090 and it doesn't shut down.  I am using the Seasonic 12 pin cable, however.  I saw someone on Hardocp forums who had crashes (not shutdowns) when using the original 8 pin cables and the FE adapter on his seasonic PSU, which stopped after he received his 12 pin Seasonic cable.  But he didn't have shutdowns.
