cerealkeller So it does appear to be working for me now. I have been testing with a 3 different BIOS. The stock BIOS, the XC3 BIOS, and the 500w XOC BIOS. I want to point out that I went to overclock.net and downloaded the BIOS from there and nvflash, and flashed the BIOS manually, rather than using the one EVGA provided. I got out my Kill a Watt and did some testing with that to confirm my findings. The stock BIOS, wouldn't exceed around 660 watts total system draw at the wall socket. The XC3 and the 500w BIOS both maxed out around 710w. I was able to get the same OC with the 500w BIOS as the XC3 BIOS except it's not all glitchy and things report correctly. Actually my fan still has that weird bug, don't ask me what that's about. Won't matter it a couple weeks when I get my water block. I didn't have the fan bug on the stock BIOS, but I did on the XC3 BIOS and/or if I tried to use Afterburner instead of PrecisionX
Hey thanks for trying those out! I flashed using the links posted at the "3090's owners club" thread at overclockers.net. Unfortunately I am still limited to 460watts just like the one Jacob posted. I am able to go up to 119% power limit,91c temp, and gpuz showed 500w, but the card will not pull more than 460watts. Using the bios at overclockers, the three fans on my ftw3ultra are now working properly at least... I just hope this gets sorted out before I get the hybrid cooling kit in my hands.
So how did you know its only pulling 460 Watts? I know Gpu - Z isnt the tell all sensor but did you test from your wall? Also was that running Port Royal when you only pulled 460?

Oh my apologies for being unclear, GPUz validation showed 500w. I just used various resolutions of furmark to hammer my card and it kept bumping off 460w. Port royal only pulls 420ish?

Ahh Ok, the GPU-Z Nvidia Bios said 500w but the sensors only showed 420 in port royal. Did you log the run by any chance? I would love to take a look at a log from GPU-Z with the issue and compare it to my working card.

I contacted EVGA 10 days ago and finally got an answer, unfortunately I already returned the card, because I still was in the EU return period. Dear Mr X,
many thanks for Your email. We're sorry to read that You have issues with Your new graphics card. As we have noticed particular problems with the first BIOS, it could help to give it an update. Find the latest BIOS attached, please. If You've done this already and be still sure it's the hardware and not the software, contact us again, please.
Kind regards EVGA Support Team

For me and for my findings is temperature related, if you stay on 60C or below the jumps on clocks are reduced, I'm NOT saying the XOC BIOS is OK but this helps. I added a fan close to the backplate on the caps zone and put ALL 3 fans of the GPU at 63% when Gaming and stays seats on +112 Core and +1000/1250, this transaltes in 2070-2085 and 10752/11002 MEM. And for Gaming boosting MEM adds nice FPS, more than CORE. As for the Benchmarks yes it's limited and jumps because of the super heavy load. I also used Afterburner to put 1Volt (Undervolted it) and used the same settings and runs perfect, so maybe I was just lucky on the GPU and MEM bin or whatever. Please link what you say bro there's a ton of posts on OCN so I can try it and report back, but highly doubt it's the flashing method. I didn't try XC3 can you link it to me please? I read that PX1 will still work is it correct? Thank You!!! Cheers to All hope EVGA can fix this soon at least gives as a steady 500W XOC BIOS.

As mentioned above they seem to have a new bios, which is just not openly available for everyone, I got it via mail. Open a case with customer support and you might receive it as well.

Could you maybe send the bios to one of us so we can test it and verify if its different? Also Temp on my card does not change how much power my card is willing to pull. Iv had my card up to 82c (forgot to max fans on a bench) and it was still cranking out 500+ watts.

I had an FTW3 Ultra, so hope they sent a matching BIOS. In the ticket I mentioned the 500W Problem and this thread, and the response I got was the one mentioned further above and the zip file with the BIOSes you received.

slovak_killer Can u say for which card they sent u the bios ? Its saying no compatible display adapters found even if have ID of Ultra or Non Ultra
I had an FTW3 Ultra, so hope they sent a matching BIOS. In the ticket I mentioned the 500W Problem and this thread, and the response I got was the one mentioned further above and the zip file with the BIOSes you received.
well its not flashable with IDs of any FTW3 card, 3985 and 3987 not working.

yeah same here, tried both the OC and the Normal file
I wonder if will need to go back to the original bios from factory before it will let us flash these.
I tried on my Normal bios switch, I never flashed that bios to the new Beta Normal bios yet. Also when I switched back to the OC bios I had to reinstall the beta OC drivers again to get my full 500 watt power again. I wonder if anyone is switching back and forth and not running the oc.exe again.

I replied to the EVGA support and mentioned that there are still problems and the BIOS can not be flashed. Let's see. Perhaps they sent the wrong one.

Normal situation, we have to take in account that its BETA bios, B E T A. We are testing beta bios, so its fine, just report whats wrong and wait for engineers to solve the issues. The more testing we do the better.
