Spawni ..... If you look at Jacob's original comment about the delivery of the "Classified 980Ti" card in this thread, it states he made that comment "3 weeks ago" so we are getting close to seeing that card become available I would think.

Thanks for the info Philipanko. I hope the time will come soon. But i think for the Kingpin we have to wait much longer. For comparison, the 980 came out in September 2014 and about 5 months later, the Kingpin Edition. Let's see how long it takes for the 980 Ti .

Am I weird?? I just love the reference design. Im not a overclocker and not obsessed with cooling.
The reference cooler is a good quality design but it is reaching the thermal limits of it's design with the 980Ti and Titan X. The fan can get quite noisy during long gaming sessions on hot days. The real nice thing about the ACX 2.0 cooler is that the fans do not run at all when just using it for 2D desktop stuff. So completely silent!

I'm on the fence about the SC reference. I know I want a hybrid, but my concern is the memory clock on the SC vs the hybrid.
My guess is the hybrid gets the better silicon.

I got the SC and a hybrid kit. I like options of having the reference or use the hybrid or use the hybrid kit with the reference cooler and not the shroud but for sure was going hybrid. I bet the sc and full hyrid are the same gpu quality (random gpu pull)...one just is set to higher default clocks because of the liquid cooling. The full hybrid is cheaper than an sc + hybrid kit.

Just got my 980 TI SC today.
This new ACX 2.0+ "dead" fan is a scary thing. fan is on auto on EVGA Precision, but the idle its 60c.... uhhh this is way too hot, should i leave it on auto and let it do its job or bump it up to a fixed setting?

Yeah you get nothing in the box. It is down to the retailer to supply the code. Sometimes by email, sometimes printed on the invoice.

I'm happy letting the fan play dead. After all the GPU is designed to run at 80c. But if it bothers you, you can create a custom fan profile.

My SC+ arrived today and I found that it is eligible for the EU 5-year warranty offer, which is a nice bonus. The offer is only valid until the end of the month so you need to buy, receive and register before the 30th. As a thank you for registering they also gave me 50% off one of their PSUs. I don't really need a new PSU just now, but it would be rude not to at that price.  After the initial cock-up with my delivery EVGA have really come good.

Well the only packages my UPS driver delivers before 6 pm are my EVGA ones. So now I'm stuck with the dreaded EVGA House Lock where EVGA won't let you pick it up at the warehouse so it'll be Monday before they attempt to deliver my 2 980 ti SC's again and I hope they don't try before 6. I has a sad. EVGA please do away with that....at the UPS warehouse you have to show id and it has to be the person the package is addressed to so it's safer than even delivering to my house which only needs an adult signature.

Use EVGA precision X16 for a fan curve. Set the fan curve for aggressive. That what I did. I just receive my EVGA GTX980 Ti SC + ACX 2.0 cooler  Core clock : 1401 MHz Memory : 7200 MHz work like a charm on every game.

Guys, more 2 day and amd release the fury x,almost a month and evga cards are not found on the market, i order 2 hydro 980ti full price in europe but i think change idea because is no longer available.
