The very very simple answer is:

You read the Model number off the box, then choose the ONLY bios update for that model number Read the fiirst post.

Is there a way to revert back to the default BIOS? Believe it or not, this one made me more unstable. This is the last time I'm doing a firmware update to a GPU in hoping to get better OC because it clearly wasn't a good idea.

Is it dangerous to revert back? Also, hope do I proceed...? I know that I saved my default bios with GPU-Z called GK104.rom.

EDIT: Nvm I figured it out myself. Glad I could go back to default BIOS. Temps are higher but so is the stability.

Hi
Any advice would be very much appreciated
Was just wondering if its worth updating my gpu bios
I am running on a 1156 mb and i am now getting slight stuttering within a few games and is very annoying...
The card i had in before a 570 was running fine np in any game but now since my gfx upgrade i am getting slight stuttering.i have also noticed the power monitor graph in evga precision is fluctuating up and down a lot.

Part Number: 02G-P4-3677-KR
Part Desc: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW SIG2
bios 80.04.4B.00.70

I have since defaulted my cpu back to stock
uninstalled nvidia drivers ect ect
placed 570 back in to check and all was fine back to 670 and problem arised again
i know its not the psu... be quite 650w 80 plus gold
mb bios fully updated
all drivers updated

No. I have the same card and with the new bios,  max fan speed is still 80%. Although at 80%, I can't get the card to go over 60c, so not sure why more would ever be needed.

Well i would like to experiment to put my Accelero twin turbo 2 fans to 100% to see the diference in temps, as for now at 80% fan speed they are very very quiet and i´m gething very nice temps:
Ambient 20ºC
Idle 25ºC at 30% fan speed
Load 53ºC at 80%fan speed

JacobF, is there any possibility to add 100% fan speed to the bios firmware?

ive done a bios update before and had no issues. could this latest bios have caused a issue? if so where can I get the old bios from? I believe i was used 4b.70, my card is the 670 2gb ftw 2678-kr

It's been a while since I've seen this thread and I'm pleased to see that there are firmware updates for the 680 4GB FTW card.

I get terrible overclocks. I can only do like +45 on the core if I don't want a crash in PS2 or BF3. I hope this firmware drive will allow me to add at least 20 to the core.

I have the EVGA GTX 670 4gb Superclocked in Triple SLI.

I am interested in the UEFI BIOS supposedly emailed to those who request it.  Unfortunately, the only drop downs on emailing customer service are Marketing, and some such.

Is there an email I can send to technical support requesting such a bios?

The UEFI Bios doesn't provide any additional stability or performance, it is just for the secure boot option in Windows 8.
We can assist with sending you that update, please email support@evga.com  with your serial number and make/model of your motherboard.

Why is the .5C fimware 10 times smaller than the .4B I upgraded to before?

If anyone has something earlier than .4B would they need to apply both in sequential order?

I'm mostly concerned that the file isn't right - I have a 2GB 670 FTW.

The correct link for your video card would be: http://cdn.evga.com/BIOS/2678_80.04.5C.zip.
You do not need to update in sequential order as the latest update will contain the previous.
You can update to this version and you should be good to go

Thanks, and I figured out the size difference - seems the ".exe" was not compressed for the previous release and it is in this one, hence it's much smaller now.

Use It at your own risk

-Download the Nflash to Wndows
- Install it
- Copy the file of your old bios to the Nflash directory
-Open the command prompt
- In the commend prompt enter the Nflash diectory
- In the Nflash dirctori enter the next command:

nvflash*-4*-5*-6*newbios.rom ( nvflash -4 -5 -6 newbios.rom )
- then restart the PC and check with GPU-Z the bios

If you mean 4B then the just change the ftp link name from 5C to 4B. It's still there available for download.

I think it is stable, so I don't see a point in doing so.

More the likely it will have it. But you can do a easy fast check with the Nvidia control panel.

Q. How can I tell what version I firmware I currently have?
A. There are multiple ways to do this, one way is to right click on desktop and go to NVIDIA control panel. Click on Help, then System Information. Scroll to the bottom of the Details window and it will show your "Video BIOS version". It will be listed as EXAMPLE: 80.04.31.00.72. The numbers in bold identify the version number.

Hi All, I would like to disable the CSM in my Asus Z77 mobo, install Windows 8 with secure boot with my new 670 FTW which already has 80.04.5c.00.70.

The bios however tells me that the card isn't compatible with UEFI however.  I thought this card bios included this compatibility?
Cheers B
