KILLER_K More the likely it will have it. But you can do a easy fast check with the Nvidia control panel. Q. How can I tell what version I firmware I currently have? A. There are multiple ways to do this, one way is to right click on desktop and go to NVIDIA control panel. Click on Help, then System Information. Scroll to the bottom of the Details window and it will show your "Video BIOS version". It will be listed as EXAMPLE: 80.04.31.00.72. The numbers in bold identify the version number. Mine says 80.04.5C.00.70 So I guess it's good to go.

Hello, This is because your 570 was Nvidia Fermi card, the 600 series is Kepler. Nvidia has enabled a terrible auto overclocking scheme which limits the cards ability to run a steady mhz and its always jumping around. You can fix this by using nvidia inspector and putting the GFX in a custom power mode and you can set the mhz and power etc manually. This will immediately eliminate the microstutter you see with your 600 series. Just remember when your done playing the game you have to return the GFX to the normal power mode other wise your card will be running the higher clockspeed unltil you retun the mode or reboot. This is very help thread here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1267918/guide-nvidia-inspector-gtx670-680-disable-boost-fixed-clock-speed-undervolting My settings for my 670 4GB SuperClocked is below: Overlcock: nvidiaInspector.exe -setBaseClockOffset:0,0,125 -setMemoryClockOffset:0,0,500 -setpowertarget:0,122 -setVoltageOffset:0,0,187500 -setGpuClock:0,2,1171 -setMemoryClock:0,2,3504 -forcepstate:0,2 Return: nvidiaInspector.exe -forcepstate:0,16 Hope this helps many! luckyirishlad Hi Any advice would be very much appreciated Was just wondering if its worth updating my gpu bios I am running on a 1156 mb and i am now getting slight stuttering within a few games and is very annoying... The card i had in before a 570 was running fine np in any game but now since my gfx upgrade i am getting slight stuttering.i have also noticed the power monitor graph in evga precision is fluctuating up and down a lot. Part Number: 02G-P4-3677-KR Part Desc: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW SIG2 bios 80.04.4B.00.70 I have since defaulted my cpu back to stock uninstalled nvidia drivers ect ect placed 570 back in to check and all was fine back to 670 and problem arised again i know its not the psu... be quite 650w 80 plus gold mb bios fully updated all drivers updated Ta sy

When you get the EFI version and disable CSM in BIOS, can you check event log and see if you get the below error - for me this happens during/straight after reboot, doesn't cause any issues but it's there. I asked this before but nobody responded - it goes away as soon as I enable CSM so the old ROMs run. The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: \Device\Video3 CMDre 00000000 00000080 00000000 00000005 0000001d

running 5C UEFI vBIOS here on 670 2gb ref in SLI under UEFI mode with win8 x64. I do not see such event in Logs at all. i actually filtered whole logs in either app or system sub-menu and I never had it on any driver ranging from 314.x through 320.18 up to 320.49 whql (currently used). I did use driver removal and then Driver Fusion cleaner recently for both nvidia display and physx at some point when troubleshooting other issues (VSYNC related and PSU related after all), maybe you could try that too, not that it did help me, because I haven't had such issue ever (had others LOL) ... at least it can't hurt As per my first impression with 5C vBIOS, I think it really improved my card(s) stability, dialed up 1 notch higher on OC that was formerly unstable in Tomb Raider (display crashes) and so far so good, smooth as butter, but I haven't played for long yet... Geothermal Caverns are kinda repulsive LOL! error-id10t When you get the EFI version and disable CSM in BIOS, can you check event log and see if you get the below error - for me this happens during/straight after reboot, doesn't cause any issues but it's there. I run my rig 24/7, sometimes for a week or two without restart (longest was 3 weeks), never had this error, it would show up in my logs if it was a driver issue, I think. ... unless it's not present in Win8 UEFI mode? ... on Win7 I used BIOS boot (non-UEFI), the same way as I do now, but highest drivers I used were 314.07 I think.

I need the raw bios for this card. I foolishly flashed a regular ftw bios to see if it would fix some of my stability issues, and I do not have the back up. So the problem is, when I try to use Nvidia updater, it will not recognize the card's part number because it believe's it is a normal GTX FTW, and not the Double fan Signature 2 series. Please if anyone can link me the bios directly I would be extremely grateful. I have the 2GB version of the GTX 670 Signature 2 Series. P/N: 02G-P4-3677-KR

EVGA GeForce GTX 670 Firmware Update v80.04.5C - Updated 04/16/13
Hi Jacob, So sorry to cross-post, but since MSDN released the Windows 8.1 Pro (retail version) O/s on Monday, I think you will be seeing this a lot, in a lot of places. You seem to know what you are talking about, so I need to hit you up on this: When Windows 8.1 Pro boots up, I get a watermark in the lower right corner of both my screens that states: Windows 8.1 Pro SecureBoot isn't configured correctly Build 9600 My understanding from a LOT of research is, the firmware on my EVGA 600 video card (bought in April) is not UEFI compliant, but my Dell XPS 8500 motherboard is compliant, which causes this watermark. I need a firmware update, or so it would seem. Can you instruct me on how to get one for my 660 card, please? Thank you so much! JoelCT

Card Bios are generally not SLI related but hardware compatibility and brands adjustments (memory etc on the PCB of the graphics card ) .What your talking about is "Drivers".

Any real reason to upgrade to this bios if I am running the 4b and not really having issues? The only issues I have ever had is if I overclock to an unstable level.

Well, which is it? ;) In any case I'm just asking for a list of fixes since the initial BIOS release since that's what I've been running since I got the cards and I'm currently trying to solve a problem. It's just one less thing on the list to check off. I couldn't easily find posts for the other updates and there's no release notes doc with the file. As an aside I've had my SLI issue irrespective of drivers installed and through three OS' (7, 8.0 and 8.1). Apologies for the diversion but really I'm only asking here for the 'fix list' or a pointer to where I might find it. Thanks.

SLI does not equal GPU bios, your issue would point to driver or hardware conflicts .Bios updates like this that are posted and suggested/approved to change your current Bios are rare and this was a near launch fix for some overlooked issues.Hench no "forced/suggested" Bios update since 13+ months ago.I glanced at your posts on this and a quick look would lead me to think you might want to check for a faulty PCI lane. a List off bios releases notes does not happen and if it did it would mostly only contain hardware compatibility, memory, controller etc not anything even remotely about SLI .The initial fix might have as it was a new card but since then no BIOS SLI issue has been a topic or needed ,it works ,your Pc seems to be the issue as you mentioned you have tried 3 different OS's and the one thing across them all that has stayed constant is the mobo i believe .Ive never heard of software causing SLI issues so it sadly eaves little to consider past your mobo itself .Can you try these card in SLI on another PC? preferably the same make mobo? i would start with that. Then maybe stress test each card by itself ,not sure if that mobo will let you use secondary PCI-E slot as primary but its a idea to test it

Fair enough, it's just the the mentioned 'improved compatibility' might of had consequence. I'd seen about 5 different BIOS for this card listed elsewhere and just hoped there would be a bit more documentation for them (it's something I have to do for my own software/firmware..). As it is I tested with the new BIOS and same problem so in this case it makes no difference. I've got another mainboard arriving tomorrow to test with - i'd rather it wasn't a dodgy card causing the problem since that's an easier swap by far (waterblocks etc). In any case there's another thread about my 'fun' so i'll stop spamming this one :)

I have tried several Nvidia driver installs / clean uninstalls using display driver uninstaller, updated latest MB bios, tried running one card...either black screen or artifacts in PCIE slot 1 or slot 3. Then switched slots...then switched cards...does the same thing regardless of PCI slot or card used. Seems odd that both cards would suddenly have issues. PSU is thermaltake 1200 and MB is ASrock z77 extreme6. I wanted to try updating the GPU firmware - Can you tell me if one is available for the cards I have? I do not see my cards as one of the firmwares available. Part number is 2004 0005 "02G-P4-2675-BR"

I have a GTX 670 FTW. I was having some blue fuzz artifacting but no abnormal temperatures. I had multiple driver crash/recoveries today after upgrading to the 331.65 drivers. I thought a FW flash might help. I hadn't had a driver crash in about an hour before I started, so I gave it a shot. I don't recall now but I think I was on the 4B firmware prior to flash. (Yes I am dumb for not backing it up). During firmware flash, after the tool erased the firmware, the system crashed. After the crash, since the tool had already wiped the firmware, I couldn't boot. Fortunately I have onboard video and a can do attitude. It took 3 hours but I was able to force a rom back onto the card. I don't know if there is anything that could be done differently or if my problem is unique in any way. I think I'll try to reflash the current version as nvflash reported a problem with verification of the flash. Time will tell.
