808sting BHPhoto CSR told me this morning, based on EVGA quantities expected next week, my 1080 FTW order will not be fulfilled. I ordered on June 4, a few minutes after they re-opened for business on Saturday. They do not have any timeframe due to lack of shipment and allocation information. I mentioned the pre-orders started on Friday and continued throughout the weekend... can they tell me my place in line based on my order#? I expected and got the "no" response. They did mention they had over a 100 orders. 100? 200? 300? Amazon's pre-order was hours... BHPhoto's were days. It took a couple shipments to fulfill EVGA pre-orders throughout the week. Based on information about shipments in the US and non-US commitments, you do the math... Almost snagged a MSI gaming X today, made the order confirmation email and CC pre-auth email from Chase, then BHPhoto gave the processing error email... insufficient stock.. It's the same for everyone...
Agreed. I had my card on my shopping cart at evga.com, and by the time I logged into paypal to pay, it was already sold out?? I took less than a minute to do that (literally). I think they listed the cards "in-stock" when they weren't, or they only had 1, or 2 cards in stock. Funny thing is, if I added it to my cart, wouldn't it at least give me the chance to pay for it before someone else snatched it from me (if that's what happened of course). Something else is going on, both Evga and Nvidia are being shady about it.

Agreed. I had my card on my shopping cart at evga.com, and by the time I logged into paypal to pay, it was already sold out?? I took less than a minute to do that (literally). Speculation: I think they listed the cards "in-stock" when they weren't, or they only had 1, or 2 cards in stock. Funny thing is, if I added it to my cart, wouldn't it at least give me the chance to pay for it before someone else snatched it from me (if that's what happened of course). The other "speculation" is that while they showed they were in stock, customers ordered so fast that EVGA literally had no chance to fix the page showing them "out of stock". Speculations are everywhere, I know...

This is just a thought. You can do what you want with it.... The Volta series card is already in design, and is supposed to be released some time 2018. It may not be a bad idea to just grab 2 980TIs (on sale), call it a day, and then wait for Volta. Volta is supposed to kill Pascal.

Yup. They need to man up and give us some information. "It will take 1,2,3 months" I don't care anymore, just some truthful info. We're being played around by both vendors and manufactures.

Whatever the case may be with web point of sale and insufficient stock, it's not like a retail store where you are holding the product in hand before paying... it's first to complete the CC pre-auth transaction while the item is in your cart. Systems should take the lowest order# that completes the CC pre-auth transaction. If some orders sneaks past the quantity in-stock during the transaction period, it should get voided soon after. In my case, it was a few minutes before I got the follow-up email. Probably a bunch of us got into the "twilight zone", then got pulled back to reality.

I just got out of a chat with a Newegg Customer Service Agent. My order (placed 6/28 at 4:26pm PST with rush processing) will ship tomorrow. The agent assured me that the rush shipping increased the priority of my order, so I didn't request a refund on that fee. As long as it does ship tomorrow as stated, I can live with that. So it doesn't appear I have to wait until Friday, at least.

Strange, my chat on the phone achieved nothing of the sort and I have Premier, and the included rush processing. They said mine would ship on Friday.

The 1070 (any version) is a good temp transitional card while you wait for the 1080. I can't run 1440P at max setttings, but it's a good card that has a decent resell value. A lot better than the RX480. I'm probably keeping my 1070sc since it runs cooler than 680 SLI on my old rig, uses less power, and performs better. I'd like to see the performance/price point of the 1060. That should be interesting.

Can't even get my hands on a 1070 SC. That's actually what I'm aiming for, then doing the step up program to the 1080

I like most of you am getting really frustrated and pissed off missing re-stocks. I needed a new gpu like yesterday so sadly I think I'm going to just have to get a 970 because I'm tired of getting jerked around by EVGA and Nvidia with this (Deleted for Foul Language)

I would love to give my money directly to EVGA and be able to order at there store, but as it looks now the EU stock on the store will not be up before the end of July (first shipment goes to retail and pre orders it seems) and retail prices in the Netherlands for a FTW or SC card are atm at least a 100 euro above the EVGA own shop prices (and in turn they are already 100 euro more then the 699 dollars you have to pay in the US for the same damn card, even tho the euro is valued higher then a dollar) so i am starting to look away from EVGA and focusing my attention to other brands or even looking at a 980ti, its a shame tho i get the feeling with this particular series of cards it seems like Nvidia and there partners are doing a money grab at the expense of there customers.

I just got this reply from a German retailer after puting an order 1 month ago . "thank you for your email. Unfortunately the manufacturer EVGA denied the previous mentioned delivery date for your ordered graphic card. We hope that we will get a new delivery in the mid of july but we don't have an exact date from EVGA." Of course we can understand your annoyance and we apologize for the delay and the inconveniences. If you don't want to wait any longer for a new delivery from EVGA, we can just change or cancel your order. Well EVGA , thank you very much. this is the last time when I am doing business with you.

"thank you for your email. Unfortunately the manufacturer EVGA denied the previous mentioned delivery date for your ordered graphic card. We hope that we will get a new delivery in the mid of july but we don't have an exact date from EVGA."
Of course we can understand your annoyance and we apologize for the delay and the inconveniences. If you don't want to wait any longer for a new delivery from EVGA, we can just change or cancel your order.
Well EVGA , thank you very much. this is the last time when I am doing business with you. I received a similiar message. No Card before mid July ...
Where did you order?

i've put the order with caseking.de i think i am going to do it this way. i am going to order the evga 1080 founders edition ( because apparently there is an agreement between nvidia and manufactures to get all the money from their costomers on this cards before releasing to the public the custom cards ) . and when the asus strix is on the market i will return the card the evga card and go for the strix.

Looks like Caseking.de, i got the same generic response and canceled my order. I'll wait and see if it pops up on any other stores and buy it there when i have a chance. Or even possibly will consider other brands altho I really want to try out EVGA this time :(

so guys with all of Newegg's bi annual warehouse reorganization thing going on I was sad since my card was shipping out Friday and wouldn't make it in time for my live build I have planned for sunday. Newegg called ME direct and said they are giving me free one day shipping and trying to get it out Friday so it can get to me on Saturday! Awesome folks over there!
