Lu88Will i be able to step up from a EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti SC ACX Cooler 3Gb to a EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Classified K|NGP|N Edition 6Gb ? Would be great!
That is not fair deal for EVGA, but would be fair for all side if customer of GTX780Ti 3GB Classified can step-up on GTX780Ti 6GB Classified andK|NGP|N owners to have option to step up on both if they want GTX780Ti 6GB Classified or GTX780Ti 6GB K|NGP|N Classified.
Would make sense to the consumer, but not the distributor.

I think so, I only don't know what they think to leave or remove topic about dominant Samsung or LN2. That would be interesting ... Or to say to people who didn't had luck to OC Samsung more than 70-80MHz, We messed up and now we change that. Pay attention on that.

Sometimes it's good to wait. Last week I was at Tiger Direct and had three 780's in my basket. Then I remembered when they came out with the 680 4gb at the end of that card's cycle. Put em right back. Running 8080x1600 so it looks like it's time to do a little shopping in the next few weeks and put my 680's in the pasture.

I understand if they don't allow step-up on Classified, they make that cards to earn money not to give us. Even reference option is more than others do. But GTX780Ti 3GB Classified was too good offer and too good card why someone to wait something what was not 100% sure, and to pay premium price only 6 months before Maxwell example. Better immediately buy full GK110 and play lot of time before Maxwell show up and even then most of people will wait Maxwell refresh because no need to upgrade immediately. Waiting something what is not 100% and looking in full unlocked GK110 is not so shine option. Special for someone who play under 2560x1440. Even on that resolution you can't lose performance because memory. With one card today always you will first lose performance because weak GPU and than memory. Only SLI owners can say We have lot of GPU power but need more video memory. I bought GK110 almost whole year after launch Titan. I didn't want to wait nothing more and miss so nice chip maybe because some hype when community start to talk about Maxwell. I'm only glad because I can OC memory 200MHz and will not look in Hynix as some dominance memory and again mistake, because some Hynix owners can't go over 1850MHz, and their timings are not so tight as Samsung.

What are your FPS in games, are you having issues, I would say for a normal 1080p monitor no, if you had say 3 in 2D surround then yes.

You are joking, that's 25% clear downgrade. You will see huge performance drop even on 1920x1080 with x4MSAA... I don't go over x4MSAA because that's for 2 cards, but with GTX780 only AA, MSAA on Off in many games. If you want 55-60fps without drop. GTX780Ti is GOD and price difference for single card for me worth 100%... GTX780 6GB is perfect card for guys who want to make SLI. For them GTX780 6GB is best option. Imagine Me, step-up from KP Classy on reference GTX780 6GB,... hospital immediately... downgrade in 3 section, only more memory and that is least important... 576 CUDA core less, about 200MHz less base clock, and 200MHz less boost clock, 150MHz slower memory, but more video memory. That's new program, step-down. But I press button on 6GB page, I'm now signed, only I don't know why...because for us with Classified models and GTX780Ti 6GB reference is not solution.

Because it would be a step down, minus the extra VRAM. GTX 780 to gtx 780 ti is a step up not the other way round. Also if you want to step up then wait for the 6GB version of gtx 780 ti. I think it'll be available from June onwards (Not Sure On This One, maybe Jacob or someone authorized could confirm on this one). joelbenedict I have a GTX 780 Ti Classified. It's not listed on the eligible cards list. I bought it directly from EVGA. Is it eligible for the step-up program or not? I haven't seen benchmarks comparing the Titan Black vs 780 Ti Kingpin vs 6GB GTX 780. The current step-up appears to be for the non-Ti version of the 780, with 6GB as the differing feature.

Anyone have an ETA on the 6gb Kingpin? Just bought one earlier this month.

geswek Does anyone know if the board changes? For example; would the EK waterblocks on my EVGA GTX 780 SC be compatible with the 6GB 780
I second this question, although for the full waterblock (IE Hydrocopper etc), especially since step-up does not include them pre-attached

(quiet important for me who is a watercooling user ) . ( by the way thank you evga for making those card at least i will be able to play quiet nicely with two of those cards on my 3x27" screens in 3d surround for quiet an affordable price :D . )

A serious question, because I am still pretty wet behind the ears with somethings, but are you saying on games such as Titanfall with max settings, 4xMSAA and ultra textures, which uses more than 3GB of vram(I think 3GB+ at least), it would be a waste? Using a 144hz monitor in 1080 btw.

I just bought an EVGA GTX 780 SC 3GB w/ ACX Cooler on March 3rd, 2014. I registered the card and uploaded my invoice. I wanted to apply for the Step-Up program for the 6GB version, but when I checked my account it said under the details in "My Account" that this product is not available for Step-Up. I'm assuming my card doesn't qualify (not sure why they used the term available) for the Step-Up program from this statement. Is there an exclusion with my specific card (SC model)?

Oh....so the 6GB "step up" program is different process than their normal "step up" process? hmmm. Looking at their U.S. Step-Up list on the page, I see that the highest GPU Step-Up is the GTX 780 w/ ACX and mine is already a step up from that with the SC version. Lucky for Europeans, owners can Step-Up to a GTX 780 Ti it seems. So since it says a step-up is not available for my card, I'm assuming it's basing it on their current list which does not include the 6GB versions yet.) I already signed up for the 6GB Step-Up program on the main sign up page so I guess I just have to wait for their email reponse since I'm in the que. Regarding my concern..... this is from the steps I followed from their support page where I was able to check if my card qualifies: - Request to start your Step-Up within 90 days of your original purchase from your product detail page
- Navigate to under Member Home
- Click on View Details of the product
- If your product qualifies, you will see the option to start your Step-Up

I wanted to apply for the Step-Up program for the 6GB version, but when I checked my account it said under the details in "My Account" that this product is not available for Step-Up. I'm assuming my card doesn't qualify (not sure why they used the term available) for the Step-Up program from this statement. Is there an exclusion with my specific card (SC model)?
I think you have to use the sign up page instead of My Account.
Regarding my concern..... this is from the steps I followed from their support page where I was able to check if my card qualifies:
- Request to start your Step-Up within 90 days of your original purchase from your product detail page
- Navigate to under Member Home
- Click on View Details of the product
- If your product qualifies, you will see the option to start your Step-Up
Yes, the cards have not been released yet so you can not do a Step-Up at the moment. The list is an alert that will tell you when they are available so you can activate the Step-Up and get in the queue. It IS NOT automatic.

Might be a stupid question, but how many times can one step up? For example can i purchase a 780 3GB now and then wait for 90 days, purchase a 780 6GB then wait another 90 days and purchase maxwell 880? This is just an example, please don't flame me, i'm confused how the program works. Can you only step up once?
