Hello, Quick question for everyone who owns this card.

I'll be putting two of these bad boys in my pc soon, I just tested these cards on my dad's system just to see if everything is working properly and they are but one problem, why is the dang fan on the card ain't spinning??

I did call evga and from they told me is that, the fan won't kick in unless its like 60'c or higher on the gpu, can anyone confirm this please????

The only time the fan starts to spin is when I turn on the pc, does a quick spin then stops.

I uninstall drivers with ddu, re-installed drivers, installed precision X, rpm on program says 0 rpm, I even set the fan @ 100%, the fan won't even spin, can't even force it.

If it is temp controlled, is there a way to turn it on at all times???

Thanks again.

Yes, it is normal. Use precision X or afterburner to set a fan curve if you want fans on sooner.

That's the problem, I put it at 100%, it still won't come on, Presicion X read's: 0 RPM.

I asked something similar on a different post:

Since this card is an icx technology design, vrm fan will kick in at a certain vrm temps, the fan on the rad is for the gpu.

You have to install EVGA Precision XOC and the card's fan will start spinning. If the software isn't running in the background it starts spining when it hit's 60 degrees.

I just have Precision XOC start minimized with windows to have it spin all the time

Thanks alot for the reply, yes, I had precision x 16 before, is that why it wasn't working and sensor ain't showing up?

Also, Do I have to use this program in order for the fan to start working and or keeping the fan on at all times?

    Afterburner won't do this correct?

And when your saying 60c, do you mean gpu temp or vrm temps?

You need to keep PrecisionXOC or Afterburner open in order to keep the fans running under 60 degrees.

If your using XOC there will be two windows for fan curve settings. One is supposedly for the gpu pump/or radiator fan and the other the power fan. I believe it still says fan 1 and fan 2. unless you change the fan curve in the correct window you won't see the fan you can see change, because it's supposedly changing the radiator or pump speed not the power fan (although im pretty sure it does'nt do anything) make sure you change both, till you figure out which one is which.
