EVGA GA 850W and 3090 FE Shutdowns

My 3090 Founder's Edition just arrived this week and I bought a 850W EVGA PSU from Microcenter to help power it.

Whenever I try to play a game, the power supply clicks and trips, the computer completely shuts down, and I need to toggle the on/off switch on the PSU before I am able to reboot.

After reading the forums a bit, I see other users are having a similar issue. Is there any confirmation from evga that this PSU can't handle a 3090?

    Sounds like the card may have a problem. Test it with another psu.

    Is it the 850 GA? I had that problem with the 750 GA.

    Just replaced my evga and stopped the random restarts.

    I just replaced my evga ga with a corsair ax1200 that I had in an old build and it stopped crashing

    There is definitely an issue with FE and the GA PSUs I think...
