I'm disappointed that the fan controller appears to be voltage controlled instead of pwm controlled. The trend is towards pwm control on most new motherboards these days especially high end ones. I would really be happy to pay up up for a solid pwm fan controller, but the best I've found is a pwm splitter.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but does this case come with motherboard standoffs? I haven't seen them in any of the "included hardware" pictures, and according to the product manual, they're not included? I thought standoffs were a standard inclusion for cases?

Its not PWM controlled? Thats a bit surprising considering the price.
I was hoping to get a nice USB controlled PWM and sensor board.
I guess ill just use my motherboard headers to control everything.
The review in German said that the fan controller starts out at 45% at start and can ramp back down to 3.3volts. So if your fan can run that way, it has a wider range than most controllers. I haven't seen any pwm fan controllers sans motherboard ones. You'd think a simple pwm circuit would be a cakewalk for a high-end GPU company that also makes full pwm fan header motherboards. Cone on Jacob, put that in the product mix. Your ACX fans are already pwm aren't they?

I've got to assume they're included - it would be a first if they don't... Heck they've even got a picture of standoffs in the maunal - but they appear to be mislabeled as hex bolts to connect the HDD. Just like the "45 pcs PH Screw #6-32" that "Connects to an AC power soruce" - I don't know that I have 45 outlets around the house and I also am not sure that I want to be putting screws in them...

I have almost all my parts ready. Just need my MSI GTX 1080 Seahawk to come in which will probably take a week or two. All my tubes and my fittings are in. I kinda wanted the case out for delivery now so that I can create some of my bends and visualize how my loop will look like in the end.

I sincerely hope that just means the second batch, cause damn..

Even if they ship the case on August 31st @ 11:59pm it's still considered August . Patience is key especially now it the late game of the pre order . Most people who can't wait usually end up cancelling the pre order and moving on . However just wait and when it arrives it will make it that much sweet .
In in the same boat most of my new components are still wrapped in boxes waiting but I'm not giving up on this case

"Hey man, shipping is 100 dollars but you didn't cancel so were gonna go ahead and charge it."
Really all I wanna know for certain is how bad the shipping is going to be, thats the only potential show stopper for me.

I mean, ill take it, but I doubt they are gonna let it slide. My fear is they are going to select some jackass delivery service like Fedex, which charges astronomical shippingcosts here in the Netherlands. And if thats indeed whats going to happen, I want them to tell me now, so I can cancel and move on with my plans and some other case.

Complete review , including build results http://m.hexus.net/tech/r...ssis/95020-evga-dg-87/Does specify the case has built in raised stands for motherboard. Yet the results of the build is disturbing ! The gpu temps reached 80 because of firmware issues making the exhaust fans stop. (Evga claims to fix this in final production model) and the noise level of the case is super high compared to others ... To market a case as one with great air flow you would think noise would be the issue but on the other end the gpu sits a bit away from the rear which the reviewer claims is a issue for blower model graphics cards and overall temp results are worse than some of the other cases in the benchmarks . Overall most insightful review however one I doubt Evga would have shared on their own due to the results not being favorable @jacob I believe sound damping material would be a great addition to the final product

Thanks Sourmonkey, nice find. I wouldn't say that review wasn't favourable, they gave it a Hexus recommended award at the end and really only pointed out a few issues and they did stress several times that they reviewed a pre-production unit. One issue they brought up was the GPU airflow but they didn't mention anything about the GPU airflow channel slider, did they use it? correctly for their SLI setup? and how much will that affect the temperatures? The noise issue is a worry though, from the article "review sample struggled to soak-up vibration and had a tendency to rattle" doesn't sound good and I hope that's fixed before retail and some dampening is added. Thanks again.

I'm pretty bummed right now. I've been looking forward to this case coming out for a while now. But unfortunately due to some money issues I'm going to have to cancel my pre-order. Can't wait to see them start to ship and the builds all of you do in them.
