The Danger Den SR-2 Rack definitely is up to the task of handling the SR-2/SR-X board, and has the required cut-outs.

I think the guide is more meant as a <it will fit> sort of reference point rather than a <it's really practical too>

Not having a second cutout is inconvenient but not impossible to work around, does mean you have to remove the whole motherboard for a cooler replacement but I don't think that's really a deal-breaker.

Any new news/updates on the EVGA SR-2/3 Case? Has the idea been scrapped?
I came across some of the articles and pics, so decided to ask about it.

You know the Cosmos II supports HTPX. This was one of the last features we included, consequently it has not be well publicized or confirmed. Well here is the picture worth the words.

I can't find anywhere that the SR-2 fits it, but it does look as though it's built with to hold it. And if the SR-2 fits the SR-X will. They are both HPTX form factor.

You mean the old model? if so, it is possible, I have my SR2 installed in an H2. The only drawback is the need for adjusting the drilling of the motherboard. The XSPC launched earlier this year the revised version with 10 slots and compatible with SR2.

Yeah, it bugs me that the HPTX support is not on the official specs :)

Wish I could find that LD test bench at a store in the US.  Thought about using the LD website but it would cost 4 times the cost of the item to ship it here.

Watched your vid. I must say, you (and your friend) have done an excellent job. I subscribed, can't wait to vies some more. The PC itself is so clean, it makes me drool. Your cable management is outstanding. Do you do any gaming on that beast or was it just a build for builds sake? I personally enjoy building them a bit more than using them but, I'm a freak.

corsair needs to build an obsidian series to house this beast. Also why is HPTX not listed in the cosmos II specs? can any others confirm that it fits?

OK I'm buying the board too, but shipping the case is nearly impossible due to high shipping costs and import taxes.
but i have this option from a local store:

Cooler Master Cosmos Cosmos II RC-1200-KKN1 Ultra Tower ATX

so can the mobo fit in it?

I dont recommend side window! ther window is for a huge fan inside the case. its loud and take the space for the cpu coolers...

The Xigmatek Elysium server cases work great and have room for a finished basement too.
Newegg and Microcenter carry them.
