shockme76 preacha Oh yeah and I though it was fine for me (see previous post) but I still get the network dropouts, any other ideas anyone???? Nvidia network drivers are crap. Uninstall them and use the Windows drivers. I tried removing them and windows 7 didn't install it's own drivers (only the display drivers), any ideas? Do I need to restart several times?

How to replace your nVidia Controller to the Microsoft "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller" which helped in getting better performance benchmark numbers Step #1... (Device Manager) Go into Device Manager by way of Start>typing in the Search Box above Start, "Device Manager" > Click on device manager in the box above when it appears. Step #2 Find and click on Storage Controller where you will find the nVidia installed Controller drivers and right click your mouse button on it. Step #3 Click on “Update Driver” Step #4 Choose and click on “Browse” for drivers Step #5 You will now see two suggestions, one being "Search Automatically" or below that "Browse my computer". Click on “Browse”. Step #6 Next box, you are met with two selections, one being "Browse" and the next one "Let me pick" and that is the one you select. Step #7 Next box pop up, you will see "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller" from Microsoft and this is the one to click on. You will then be required to restart the system then restart again a few moments later. Now you have the Microsoft Controller and not nVidia.

OK, the network kept dropping out after rolling to the m$ drivers and then I re-entered in my settings in LAN port configuration (see my previous post) and it seems to work fine for the moment. Will keep you posted. I know there are others with the same issue.

The best way to do it is to enter the BIOS "Advanced BIOS Features" and [Disable] the "Full Screen LOGO" if not disabled already... Now when you boot you will see a lot of cool information displayed. On the first screen will be your BIOS release number, ending in an "SZ" number, SZ17 for example. The screen moves quickly but you can stop it at any time by pressing the Pause|Break key on the keyboard.

Does anyone else have a problem with not hearing voice in games (like in steam, etc)???? What is the go with this? should I be using the windows drivers or the realtek drivers? it's really annoying because my mic works fine but I just can't hear other peoples voices. I never bothered to look this one up til now. I've had this issue since going to Windows 7.. Thanks

preacha INSTALL nforce 15.35 may 15, 2009 on Nvidia's web site. LAN port configuration: Go to Control Panel -> Device Manager and right-click on the properties of your card in "Network Adapters" Now Go to the Advanced TAB Make sure you have these settings (Can someone confirm that these are correct because they seem to be working fine for me): Sleep on disconnect: enabled flow control: disabled interrupt moderation: disabled ip checksum offload: disabled jumbo packet: 9014 bytes (this might have no effect for you) ALL large send offloads: disabled BOTH low power: enabled network address: not present priority & vlan: priority enabled receive side scaling: disabled speed/duplex settings: auto ALL TCP & UDP offloads: disabled vlan id: 1 ALL wake ons: enabled also.... DISABLE Apple's Bonjour service and Microsoft's Windows Media Player Network Sharing service. So far so good for me. Let me know if you have the same success.... I had LAN dropout issues as well, especially downloading large files like games on steam and such. After changing my settings to the above I haven't had any issues any more. Furthermore I went from BIOS P07 to P10 and it works like a charm, on P07 I had freezes when the system was idle, with P10 that hasn't happened yet. So far so good...
