Is it right of me to be disappointed that I'm not receiving a KINGPIN in return? Instead EVGA returns a 2080 FTW3 in replacement of the highly sought out KINGPINS? Spoke to a super visor and not once did they acknowledge my concern on why I had preferred a KINGPIN in return or at least a 2080 Ftw3 super to satisfy the experience slightly. Their whole argument was based off "but performance" (even though KINGPIN has 11GB of VRAM oppose to 8GB) disregarding the KINGPINS Limited title and stature.
Such a disappointment. Ill be purchasing strictly from Asus and MSI for now on.

If you don't want the 2080 FTW3 then tell them you'll wait until they can find you another 1080 ti kingpin.

Question, are you actually using any programs that utilize the extra memory or going to utilize the LN2 and XoC features? Because if you are not then this post seems a bit moot. While not perfect, the 2080 FTW3 is a comparable card to the 1080Ti in all common use-cases and you didn't get downgraded - the performance is the same and, at the end of the day, that is what ultimately matters in an RMA unless you really need one of the features of the old card.

    Well.
    Welcome to the boat.
I'm fighting in my RMA because of a similar issue (sended my 1080ti FTW3 to receive a 2080 Black Edition - BIG nope -).
See my thread if you're interested in my point of view: https://forums.evga.com/Dont-even-bother-buying-a-high-end-card-from-EVGA-m2996486.aspx

IMO, if you buy a Kingpin, you're not only after raw performance, but the features as well (100% copper heatsink alone would justify this).
They way I think, if I wanted a 1080ti just by the performance, I would have bought a SC Black Edition (entry level one) + watercooling (hybrid kit / Kraken G10, etc..).

Yes, I understand why you would want another 1080 Ti Kingpin ... but it would appear that EVGA does Not have one to ship you
