Not bad performance, but man the denoising filter needs improvement on the dlss path tracing...

DLSS 3.5 Quality / RTOD / FG:

Notes: Nice noise throughout... especially on her face. Seems to lower fps in certain areas like taking a photo, but runs better when just playing normally.

Native RTOD:

Notes:

Rasterization:

Notes: Good ole raster.

All this time later, and I still don't see what all the hype is about.  It's slightly different in a non-obvious way.  Some things are the same, and some things are inexplicably slightly different.  If anything, now it looks overall more like the rasterization version than before.

I think it looks way better when you are playing the game than in a screen shot since things just look like they should. What I am not really understanding is why the Native picture gives the body full lighting on both sides while the DLSS 3.5 and the rasterization give a shadow to the side away from the blue light. The biggest difference with those two is how the hair is fully illuminated on the rasterization while in shadow on DLSS 3.5.

When playing with DLSS 3.5 Quality / RTOD / FG settings I can definitely notice the noise when playing the game. It doesn’t just show up in screenshots. It’s super annoying. 🤬

I will tell you know that DLAA looks a lot better than any of the DLSS 3.5 options with RTOD+FG. Its just more taxing than the pre 2.0 patch. gives you a reason to run your gpu fan at 90%+ lol

If anyone is bothered by ghosting and if you didn't figure it out yet, it's caused by Ray Reconstruction right now, so disable it and enjoy the game.

Currently playing phantom liberty with just raster and frame gen...

Redner latency is a bit higher with frame gen, but I was able to optimize it a bit...

    Native render latency...

    Default frame gen latency...

Frame gen latency after special k adjustments...

Basically same as yours setting, except Sharpness 1.0
    (1) Cyberpunk - Benchmark 4k HDR DLSS(Quality) RTX Psycho (Overdrive) RR / Framegen Max settings 85 FPS - YouTube

    👍

My score could be a bit higher if I were to overclock my hardware, but maximum stability is preferred.

Exactly, your performance is pretty much spot on as expected! You've always had optimized setups. Mine is only stable because of my exotic cooling (pool) 😂

yeah just too much visual noise even with DLSS 3.5, it fixed some of the issues DLSS 3 had, but not enough for me to want to use it. Now DLAA is where it's at, will gladly take the performance hit down to 5X-80 FPS over DLSS 3.5's 120-150 with 3.5's visual oddities. DLAA+RT OD"PT"+FG+Latancy with all settings set to Psycho/max is too good visually to pass up.

Honestly, I would rather use DLAA+RT OD"PT"+FG with everything at Psycho/Max with the fps hit for the visuals quality it gives in game, that brings the game a little closer to photorealism if you want to really get immersed in it all.

Ya I use 4k Native HDR + DLAA + RT OD PT for all my screenshots / timelapse videos. But it's just a little too slow for regular gameplay. Soooo close. Frame Gen makes it smooth, but the ghosting can be jarring.

Yeah its why I tell people if they want all the eye candy do not go above 3440x1440, you will have to make some compromises on higher resolution displays than that with a 4090 and Cyberpunk 2077. Like no DLAA with all those settings slammed up, its just too laggy over that resolution for that and the 4090.

I’m now a solid believer in frame gen. After shutting it off after using it for 4 days in a row the game just feels laggy when going back to no frame gen. Gotta love those fake frames. 🤣

October/November of 2024 is a long ways away lol

Curious, what did you get in the benchmark with RT Overdrive/default Ultra on with DLSS Quality?  Asking because I know my resolution is more towards 4K than it is towards 1440p, but here's my results from RT off/RT Ultra/RT Overdrive, since upgrading from my 3090 Kingpin:

RT Overdrive/Ultra settings - DLSS Quality:

vs RT on Ultra with Ultra Settings & DLSS Quality:

I do have 3090 Kingpin numbers with these exact settings too, I did them before uninstalling it for comparison... the thwapping is large, RT Overdrive is over double the performance.

Neat. Guess that's a bit of a showcase for the 13900K having better min FPS, not that 2FPS is much, but yours is higher despite being higher res & lower overall average as a result.
Thanks for that, glad to have a point of comparison that's direct with only the CPU/RAM being the variance in the setup comparison, besides the resolution (which it's 8.29M pixels for you vs 7.37M pixels for me, so both resos are quite thicc).

No problem. My hardware is completely stock as well. Ram is 5600 CL36.

Yeah my testing was at stock CPU with PBO on, 1800MHz Infinity Fabric & RAM at 3600MHz for the 1:1.  Pretty run of the mill.

I plan on going up to either a 14700K or 14900K with 6000-6400MHz RAM once they come out.  Already have a local friend who's interested in the 5950X setup, with the 3090 Kingpin I'm also getting rid of, just have to wait for me to get the parts out of my system & for him to get the money to buy it all at once.

I do have to say I'm very much enjoying being on a simpler cooling solution again, air cooled card, AIO cooled CPU, no more open loop worries lol I'll end up going back to open loop eventually, I'm sure.

On the topic of Cyberpunk testing, for non-RT vs RT Ultra, I noticed the FPS "hit" going from regular Ultra settings to RT Ultra is pretty small, compared to with the 3090 it was almost a 2:1 difference RToff:RTon.  Whereas with the 4090, Ultra with RT off I'm getting around 95-96fps average in the benchmark, but going to RT Ultra only drops me down to ~80fps.

This will be my Longest PC in a while between upgrades , with the 5090 still a year and a half out , and 14th gen looking a lot like the 11th gen ... htere is nothing of note, I was thinking about a 14th gen but the leaks don't inspire any confidence its going to be worth much if anything. Might as well wait for better DD5 and a real new CPU.

Gave DLAA a try… and it didn’t seem to work. My jaggies didn’t look any better. I did however notice a loss in picture crispness that I didn’t like, so just going to leave it off.

Probably not going to upgrade myself until cyberpunk 2077 orion releases.

Hello guys. I am using the below settings. DLSS Quality makes the game feels laggy specially during intense fights. I guess this is a balance between quality and performance. But I will definitely try it with Native / FG . 100+ FPS is amazing.
