Current List of 5520 Series Compatible CPU's:

I looked everywhere for a chart that gave all this info, but it I could not find one.  So I scoured the internet all morning, and found all the basic info I could find on the CPU's that work with the SR2.

I just copy/pasted from the main support page for the names & CPU speeds.  Fixed  the 5650.  Thanks!

That info layed over with the 7xxx and their cost would be really interesting. Also... compare the numbers people are getting rendering/crunching wise from a geared up OCd SR-2 5680 build and see how price effective it would be in a real-life situation against their larger server counterparts.  If the only cost prohibitive aspect was energy usage for pushing the fewer threaded system at a higher speed, I think that would be paid off quickly.

Maybe.  Just nice to have a consolidated link of all the processors for the board.

Has anybody used the L5640? I am thinking of picking up a couple to use in my rig.

I forgot to mention that although if buying brand new the obvious choice would be to go for the X5650's but 2nd hand there is a massive difference in price between the processors.

I didn't see it in the tech support section when I got all these off the EVGA support page.
