Hey everyone,
I'm taking a break from folding to get back to crunching for a bit.
I'll be crunching through the bacon challenge at least. I've got a new 2070 Super and I'm itching to see what it can do crunching. It gets about 2.1 mil per day folding.
How is everyone holding up?

Thanks! What a mess, down that way.
I'm sure there will be quite a trail of downed trees and power out.
Glad it did not turn into a cat 5, it could of been a whole lot worse.

Robby updated me. He is doing ok. Just really hot. They have a small generator to power the freezer/refrigerator and to charge phones and such. Internet is spotty.

Swapped out an I7-9700k with an i9-9900k in my MSi EDGE board. Went well crunching away
Went and swapped the i7-9700k into my EVGAz370 FTW took oit an i5-8600k
Did not work so well. Forgot to update the BIOS,  doh!!!!
Swapped it back, updated the BIOS, swapped in the i7-9700k again and presto!! Its crunching away.
Now just to tweak them and see how well they can do.
Just stinks it takes 8 or more hours to run CUL tasks to see if there is any warnings.

Got the covid shot yesterday, arm is a little sore, to be expected.
The Mrs. is a bit more sore than me and has a headache and feels tires/worn down.
Hope this passes soon.

Hello Team,
Well I have not been able to buy a new GPU this year but still hope to get at least 2 one 3090 and one 3080 Ti.
I have signed up for some Ti today being I do not think I will ever get one of the 3090 cards.
I am really behind on my house and now hope to close on the 6th of July, I hope I do not have to do a 3rd Loan Lock Rate as it is costing more and more to keep my 2.75% VA Rate.
I am having 20Amp Sockets installed in each room and on their own circuit breaker and this is above the standard 15Amp Sockets in each room.
Nice to see that I will also be on 55/55 Fiber into the house but that may not be until the end of July now.
So it now looks like I will now be back on line until August of this year. I miss finding all them Primes
Image to follow.

Lol brother, these primes are mine. Best of luck with the new home. We built ours 17 years ago and everyday brought new nervousness, until the closing. GL

Looks good Bill. Hope it come in in time and under budget.
And good luck finding a GPU, the wait is long.
I signed up the morning they released the 3080Ti and the 3070Ti
In the 2nd hour for the 3080Ti and in the first hour for the 3070Ti
I would for the price try to get a 3080 and skip the 3070Ti
10% increase in performance for a 70% increase in price.

Hi all!  I've been away from crunching for a few years but found myself back at it a few weeks ago.  Glad to see the team is still up and running.

Good luck getting those new GPUs!!  I've been on the waiting list since October for a 3080.  The 30 series might be obsolete by the time we get them.

Can't blame him for having a goal and pursuing it.

This GPU shortage is killing me!  I came this close to impulse buying a 3080 Ti on Amazon today for ONLY $2500.  Common sense took over at the last second.

Well team I am about 25% done unpacking and putting my new home together.
I still have to see how I am going to setup my computers and I am really glad I got 20 Amp Circuits in each room.
This is above the normal 15 Amp Circuits in each room.
I split my UPS Units for each Rig one on the 15 and one on the 20 and seems to work out well,  that is for my Rigs that have 2 Power Supplies installed.
I only really have about 280 Square Feet more than what I had in my Condo but it seems smaller in some ways and larger in other.
I really like my 24x24 foot Garage and may even put a rig out in the winter months to run. That is if I get it cleared out after unpacking

Odd enough but Driver 441.20 seems to run GPUGRID along with the Current C++ VS Runtimes.
This is on my 2080 and 1080 Graphics Cards.
They seem to have Lots of Tasks as ALL my Host are running them ATM.

I updated my Driver to 472.12 NSD and GPUGRID seems to like this Driver as well.
Sad part is GPUGRID seems to have no more tasks

Yeah I have been leaving GPUGrid looking for tasks and running other GPU projects.
It picks up a task every so often and then goes back to crunching the other project after the task completes.
Very few tasks available lately.

It took me long enough but I did update my New Home Folder over on Flicker
Finely got my real garage door

All of the house is now done and this week the Fence is being installed.

The last week of October the landscaping starts, all rock so no watering the grass or mowing
