I wish power wasn't so expensive here so I could run more hardware.  Edison getting rid of the middle tiers instantly classified me in the top price range.
Also, my little Raspberry Pi has now done over 200,000 points for Universe@home.

"Raspberry Pi has now done over 200,000 points for [link=mailto:Universe@home]Universe@home[/link]."
Maybe I should do the same to have a piece of the Pi.

Looking at the other forums, they are turning to moo now that Einstein is over.
Not a long time left in this challenge, but there are a bunch of 1080 and 1080tI BEING MOOVED OVER.

I feel for you, I sure hope the snow stays out by you.
It is in the 90s here, not too crazy about that either.
Going to be a beautiful weekend though. 70s and sunny

Would it work with a 1080 FTW? Or just the founders type cards?

Sorry No Founders Only, the FTW is a different Block altogether. Much Higher or Wider than the FE Model Cards.

My Favorite Computer Case is now the

On the uncommon occasions I use a case any more, the Thermaltake Versa V34 is my go-to case - it is usually the lowest-cost case around that offers 8 GPU slots (critical for my 3-card builds due to how motherboards lay out the card slots), has VERY nice fan options and relocatable/removeable tray options to help keep things cool, and the controls are on the front of the case where I can get to them (unlike the Versa V35 that puts them on the top).

Unfortunately, my 2 favorite power supply series (Seasonic X and EVGA G2) are going away, and the replacements (Seasonic Prime and EVGA G3) went with a junk sleeve-bearing fan design because they decided "quiet" is more important than "long lasting keep the thing COOL at high power levels".

I suspect I'm going to have to go with Silverstone for future PS purchases once the existing stocks of X-series and G2-series supplies run out, as I REFUSE to ever waste money on anything with a bloody DIES WAY TOO YOUNG EVERY TIME OFTEN KILLING THE DEVICE IT IS IN DUE TO OVERHEATING sleeve bearing fan in it.

If it's not Ball Bearing for fans, ignore it or pay the penalty, probably in the first year or two, when the fan DIES.

I'd hate to be in the warrenttee department for EVGA in about 2 years from now when they start seeing a TON of those G3 models returning dead due to the CHEAP EXCUSE FOR A FAN they put in them.

Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

Not quite the color advertised but still pretty cool.
Replacing a 980ti in my main rig.
Probably keep the 980ti for now...'cause GPU army +1.

Nice, takes a whole week ground shipping to my house.
My GTX1080FTW will be here tomorrow that I bought last Wednesday.
Maybe the Sprint will be another GPU event, put these cards right to use.

In the shop the red look more "metallic" and darker, this red is a little too bright. I hope you'll enjoy the new "toy"

It is too bad what is different about the card will be face down so you can't really see it so well.
Did they do anything special to the back side of the card?

Complaint? There's no complaining in crunching. Can we find out who complained or if they are a member of the crunching team?

The top has the standard backplate.
The shroud color is the only difference.
I've been going back and forth on this, from "not what was advertised", then "maybe it's OK, not that big of a deal".

After sleeping on it, I am upset.  Paid extra and waited a month for something that looks like an eyesore in my rig.
I spent hours sleeving every cable on this PC, so in this case it does matter.  The dark red would have looked so much better.

The original picture looks like a maroon or burgundy than true red like the product delivered.
How much extra $ was it over a regular card?
