It's also funny because without torque HP means nothing haha. Most ricer kids don't understand this, however. They just want something that sucks gas and sounds like a rattling can full of bolts, or is lifted to skyscraper heights, I would say they are compensating for something that is a little on the small side ;).

You ever see the coffee can sized muffler diesel truck owners put on their trucks?

Like I said I would have to drive one. I have a ZR2 right now and love this truck!

Do want!

Yes I have, and they sound absolutely horrid. Why do they have to modify? Why? I will never modify the tip on my Mustang, I love the natural growl that comes from it. I just don't understand the culture anymore. Although I suppose I shouldn't criticize, I'm going to spend 2500-3k on a Fursuit.

My Laptop (GE63VR-7RF):
-7700HQ.
-16GB RAM.
-GTX 1070.
-128GB SSD.
-1X 1TB 7200 spinny drive.

I thought about doing a LS1 V8 swap into my ZR2, but the cost is just too much. I'd rather spend the money on a 2016 Camaro to get that V8 rumble back under me.

Years ago I had the older box style S-10 that I put a modified Corvette 327 motor into it with a Muncie 4 speed trans. OMG that truck was fast. I also lowered it, put a aero body kit on it and a removable fiberglass convertible top. One of the most fun rides I have had.

All manufacturers seem to be going to turbocharged motors. if you are going to create a vehicle to semi compete with a competitors line, you should make the engine specs close to it.

Nobody in the midsize truck market offers a diesel.

No one in the US offer a small diesel truck.

Why would you want a 300 hp v6 with only 250-280 lb-ft of torque in that when you can have a diesel kicking out 370 lb-ft of torque stock and getting way better mileage? Minor mods will have that little diesel kicking out another 80-100+ lb-ft and still be cheaper to operate than a gasser. It is a no brainer in a truck.

Remember kids HP is an equation for bragging rights Torque is what moves you

last i read formula 1 cars had **** for torque before they opted for the new era of turbos again. nothing wrong with smaller engined cars, they're good for learning a track course.

I'd be in for one if the designers would grow a pair and put manuals back in them. Sticking with my Dakota until the diesel aluminum wrangler comes out but only if it is solid axle with both a manual transmission and transfer case. If not, then I am waiting until the 3.0l vm motori diesel engines start showing up in scrap yards and I will convert my dakota and lift it 6" then finally have what I have wanted for ever.
