So long story short. I'm a computer nerd like most here and I know I'm not looking in the right places.
 
I would love to find a 1965 Ford Fairlane to purchase for a Christmas present for my Mom. I see shows on tv of car guys finding gems and fixer uppers. Wondered where they find them.
 
I've tried google and well I see some. But, maybe I'm not looking in the right places. I'm not looking for a gem or immaculate conditioned 1965 Ford Fairlane. Rather a decent in shape 1965 Ford Fairlane. Color does not matter.
 
Any tips or places I could find one a little close to Charleston, SC?

    That is a short timetable to find a decent '65 by Christmas.

    EBay, Craigslist, Ford Fairlane forums, Auto Trader, car shows, local race events (ask around). Go to you local auto wreckers as well...they often know guys that are constantly fixing old cars up and reselling them.

    Unfortunately, with the desired car being 50 years old and on such short notice, you'd almost be guaranteed to have to order it out of state.
     
    I found one in Georgia rocking a 289 with a 4-barrel.

    Thanks for the information guys. I to think it might be a little late to purchase one so close to Christmas.
     
    Her birthday is 4/20 though. I will do a lot more searching now.
     
    This was her first car when she was younger. So I thought it would be ideal for a gift.

    Give your Mom a model/toy one for christmas with a promise of the real thing coming once you find one worthy :)
     
    You dont want to rush to buy the first one you see locally to see better ones pop up for sale afterwards.
