So first things first...when I fire up my game I'm getting a few green flicker handshake type screens, this sound normal?

So I'm set at 4k resolution, and nothing I do can get me at or around 55-60 frames. I pretty much stick around 43 to 51ish and it fluctuates, I even turned off every shadow/lighting option and still about the same, maybe 1 to 5 extra frames but overall it just doesn't want get to 60. I'm running DX12. I mean I just am not sure what to do...im new to getting 4k going, so not sure if there are a few selections within the Nvidia CP that might need tweaked for better 4k performance, or if maybe this card isn't pushing like it should.

My OCs are about 105 and 375, bout the best I could get to keep deus ex stable. Just lookin for some suggestions to try perhaps. Let me know guys, thanks

I'm not sure you have realistic expectations for a single 1080... not to mention what hardware you are running.

Perhaps some reading up would make you feel alot better about the framerates you -are- getting

With careful attention to the rendering details for this extremely complex title and its settings, you should be quite happy with the end results
*as always, settings/framerate testing should be done at STOCK -before- attempting any overclocks

After reading up on your projector.. you rendering at 4K but your projector is only able to display a upscaled 1080 image.
Quote "the 5040ub will accept a 4k signal but outputs an enhanced 1080p image that simulates 4k resolution"

Use the below settings and you should be able to achieve your 60+ FPS at no reduction in quality -and- much higher settings than from what your currently viewing with your projector

Well that's the thing about this projector is it actually understands a 4k resolution and will output. It simply has it'd own tricks in how it does it and isn't like a previous fake 4k that was on the market that really sucked.

But it's like any other setup, you simply have to fine tune things and some games are gonna be picky.

Like I have dark souls 3 running with 4k resolution in game and it looks stunning, absolutely stunning, holds 60 frames also but deus ex is not being as agreeable.

Like the above post tho, getting 40 to 50 frames at 4k resolution isnf bad, and it really isn't... I was trying for that 60 frames like I was able to get in other games but deus ex lighting effects and what not are pretty demanding I'm finding out.

So what I did do tho last night was ya, drop deus ex to 1080p and cranked up msaa and other things and it looks stunning while running at 60 frames, plus my 4k enhancements this projector does takes it to a whole new level. Best 3000 bucks I ever spent.

It's pixel shifting technology is amazing, gives a person a lot of options when using it

This architecture uses pixel shifting to simulate 4K with a 1080p native panel. It's still pretty good but it is not true 4K and some people notice artifacts with these systems (me included). Honestly though you are getting about the right performance at 4K, but I would strongly suggest dropping to 1080p and enabling AA.

Nice projector, and about $1000 less than the next best true 4K model.
