COVID (GPU, core22 0.0.5) projects 13402-13405 to BETAby JohnChodera » Sun May 03, 2020 11:04 am
We've just released two new projects---13402-13405---that follow on 13400-13401 to test the new features of the new core22 release 0.0.5 that we will use for prioritization of compounds for COVID-19 experimental collaborators to make and test!

Project descriptions: https://stats.foldingathome.org/project?p=13402

We've restricted the classes of GPUs to fast GPUs only and made some changes to the composition of the systems, which hopefully minimizes the divergence between linux and win.

These are short WUs, ~3-4h/WU.

Projects 13402 and 13403 : core22 0.0.5

Do they define "fast GPUs"?  Thanks for posting updates over here, I don't check Folding at Home site very often.

The higher end the better. These really eat up cuda cores. But the points are good. They are tweaking to equalise rewards for Win vs Linux as there were huge gaps early on. Win was up to 3X slower than Linux with equivalent diminishing qrb.

I've gotten a couple (haven't been around to see what consistency is like) & I've noticed my PPD is getting upwards of 1.7-1.8M on my 2070Super.

I'm running on a newly purchased 2080 Super FTW3 and all I'm getting are these projects, type 0x22, release 0.0.5.  This card seems to be eating these up like hot cakes.  I'm set to High Priority in my client so I could get any type of WU, quickly, easily, and while minimizing hitting up on servers with no assignments available.  I'm guessing the Covid-19 WUs are a high priority so i guess that makes sense.  Only on day 2 but averaging about 1.7M PPD.

I've had 7 of these fail right at 50% complete in the last 3 days and on all 3 2060s I'm running.  One is stock, one is -100MHZ and one is +100MHZ

    Anyone else had this issue?
