Thinking about going red next time

Might just be the hitch in the Heaven and Valley benches I see...... *shrugs* dunno, but it does not change from driver to driver. Still happens back to 344.75 in the same section of the test. That's as far back as I went since it scrambles all the icons on the desktop and Im tired of putting them back where I had them sorted  out to LOL

Is this a confirmation that it's not specific to the GTX 970's only?
 
Titan Z's are looking better each time I sit down and research what card to buy.

I have FarCry 4 and Assassin's Creed Unity...just downloaded new HUGE patches for them..... as I said...I usually don't play that much.... but I loaded both games....turned everything on MAX, even tried the 4k down sampling.... max vRAM was 3500gb ! So actual game is showing the limit ( tho the game played smooth for the 20 mins I tested )..and synthetic benchmarks show same result but with more severe issues...freeze....lock-up .... reboot  ! Major issue here ! Gonna play the waiting game until someone makes a decision .... all we can do ..... I have a GTX-680 sitting around if I have to RMA my 2 GTX-970SC ACX 2.0 cards to keep me up and running !!!! In one month.... I have to RMA a 32gb kit of G.Skill 1866 ram, I just got a new Corsair K95 RGB Cherry keyboard that repeats every other keystroke ( so yeh...I have to go back and spell check and redo everything I am typing here till I get rid of this and reconnect my Logitech G19 ) ! This is getting old.... just might buy a Chromebook and sell the $6000+ worth of hardware I have and the $15,000 worth of software and the 300,000+ song library I have sitting in front of me ! But hey, I have Windows 7 Ultimate on an SSD, Windows 8.1 Pro on another SSD, Windows 10 Preview ( newest today on another SSD, 30 Steam games on another SSD, 15 Origin games on another SSD, 4TB storage on SDHDD.... 6TB on regular HDD........... Nvidia 3D Vision 2.0 on 27" Asus 3D monitor, 27" IPS BenQ monitor for Adobe CS6 Suite, Sony Vegas, Autodesk Maya, Mudbox, Autocad 2015, Corel X7 Draw, Maxon Cinebench 3D Studio and Microsoft Solitaire Deluxe App !!!! LOL
Computers SUCK ! So glad my I7-4930K @ 4.6ghz on a Asus X-79 Deluxe can handle browsing the internet ! All money well spent ! OK...done ranting !

Just chiming in to say that my EVGA 970 SC also drops to absurd levels when accessing chunk 25 through 29.

I'm highly interested in what Nvidia is going to do about this.

Other then a complete recall I don't see what they can do

Tests ran in headless mode on my Gigabyte G1(Hynix). Results were similar with my FTW+.

On a 980 only seeing 3.7 used in DSR 4K Mordor maxed out.

Run the test on your 980 and see if it compares to mine.

This is what I get and the driver crashes at the end of the test. Something really needs to be done to make this right. I just got this new SSC+.
 

And the internet exploded . . . . .Now all big tech pages and forums are aware of the problem. Nvidia has stated that they are looking at it . Let's see . . .  .. 

I already have 16gig system memory and get the 3.5 limit.

I tried to see if I could get my card to push beyond 3.5gb, just for fun.  If I max everything in FC4, its pretty much unplayable.  However, I just wanted to see if it would go beyond this issue.  Interesting, I couldn't get my card to push past 3.5gb with a res of 2560x1440@100hz and all the eye candy turned up.  Generally stayed around 3320mb but I was able to hit a few spots that seems to max it out.  Sure I was only at about 20fps or so, but the most I saw it hit was 3500mb exactly.  Didn't go over that number ever.  As previously mentioned, it isn't playable for me when I push the card that much, but still....I can't get it past that number in FC4.  Maybe my res just can't push it beyond that, but anyone with high resolutions seen it go beyond that number in game?

Whats weird is that it took this long for someone to figure this out.  I mean, people with no lives spend hours looking for easter eggs in games, but no one for 6 months found this out .  Kinda funny.

It is my understanding that more information from NVIDIA is forthcoming on this
