I believe once eth becomes POS, more cards will be released to gamers.

I guess I want to clarify: Will I get picked based on the my older queue position (XC Black) with a chance for a later queue position item (XC3 Ultra) since those are going to be on offer more frequently. (example I'm on the XC Black queue since 10/6/20 and the XC3 Ultra sometime much later in 2021. Will I get picked based on the 2020 date or the 2021 date?)

I think you're overthinking this. We are not changing how the queue works from a notification standpoint: Queues are based on a part number by part number basis. Once your date/timestamp in a specific queue hits the top of the queue, you will get your notification.

What we are changing is the number of notifications that people are allowed to have on their accounts. If you have more than two notifications, we will only use your two oldest notifications on your account. This is why we've asked people to remove all but the two notifications they really want.

I guess this means those who signed up hoping to get XC Black or other lower tier cards and then signed up for the top tier ones much later when they found out the low tier is effectively discontinued is out of the running. See you when 4000 series is out maybe.

On behalf of those that were getting the short end of the stick for the last day or so, thanks for changing the changes.

You didn't get the short end of anything, if you were able to purchase a 3000 series this year.

The first plan was more fair. I am disappointed EVGA caved to the professional scalpers who intend to order one of every product and then sell it for profit while other people have been waiting in line for a year now and haven't gotten anything.

I never thought I'd ever spend so long attempting to get a GPU at retail. Thank you for this solution which benefits normal people!

It has only been almost a year.
Why would anyone bother after all this time?  I had forgotten I even got in the queue until I got the mail today.
I removed my request so some poor fangirl can have my spot as I moved on from wanting one of these many months ago.
This whole fiasco has turned me off from nvidia for a very long time.

Whew, that's quite the news.  I had a ton of cards on the notify list, many on there for months.  I've whittled away a chunk of notifies but I still have waay more than 2.

Am I right in thinking i should get rid of all the -KR cards?  For some EVGA switched to KL, but for others I'm still showing the -KR versions.

I had quite a few notify items just done via email without an account.  I now created an account and it shows I don't have any.  It also won't let me add them either.  Did my list get wiped out?

I think you'll find advice for this earlier in the thread.

However, I'm popping in here to remind you that RTX 3090, 3080 Ti, and 3060 cards will only be -KR on our site, as there will not be a matching -KL (3090 remains non-LHR, and 3080 Ti and 3060 will always be LHR).

Thank you for the attempted help here.
Logging in from the US. I've tried the method posted, however I keep getting booted back to the login screen when I enter the url into the navigation. I'm clearly logged in on another tab as I'm posting here =)
I'm about to give up on EVGA altogether.

Do they not have good faith obligations to us as well? we are purchase orders that have been waiting as well!

I'm afraid that's not the case, we're merely requesting to buy, the purchase order would be after we've completed the steps for shipping and billing and all that.

Is there a reason I can no longer access my notifies? I want to do as suggested and remove all, but my top two choices. It brings me straight back to home page after logging in. When clicking the My Notifies or any page under My EVGA, it brings me right back to the login page...

Re: Better Queue System, More Gamers to Get a Card! 2021/10/06 15:48:51 (permalink)
Hello Everyone, so just to be clear, my situation is that I have been in the queue for pretty much everything since release, I have purchased the few cards that I got notified on (I am not a scalper, I just run IT for my gaming family, I unfortunately did need to buy a card from a scalper due to a failure of an old card and no availability, it was an evga 3070 xc3 ultra for $790 on craigslist). This new change notice is not clear to me in a few ways: question 1, I cant remove old queue's that I have purchased, meaning that of the two oldest queue's I have on my list, one shows as sent, does this mean that I can only have 1 possibility at a card when this goes into effect? Question 2, if I leave all of my other queue's open will they simply be deleted when this goes into effect, or will this continue to roll up to my next to oldest queue's that I have not been sent once my two oldest have been sent? Third question, do the "notify sent: yes" queue's that don't go away count towards your two oldest queue's? Sidebar, all I wanted to buy was 3080's, and just for gaming, now I have purchased a few lower tear cards because I was notified and they were better than what we currently had. This change feels like it is punishing me for being a loyal customer and patiently waiting my turn to purchase your products as you dole them out. And because I have waited patiently and purchased as you have let me, that has now potentially hindered my ability to acquire the cards I truly desired all along and have waited a year in line for. Thoughts?

I am not looking forward to trying to guess which cards might ever actually ship.

On a related note, since it sounds like "hydro copper 3080 (non kingpin non ti) will never ship" when I read between the lines, can we expect to see the waterblocks sold directly?

No, since the waterblocks will only work on the HC card PCBs.  The HC cards have a different capacitor layout to accommodate the waterblocks.  Installing an HC block on a regular 30 Series card would likely cause physical damage.

Ah missed your second reply.
That's unfortunate, I seem to recall in past series that hydro copper blocks were sold, not all cards were compatible (obviously) but I think it was the FTW3 series.

Yeah I still have 3 cards I'm trying to remove from my notifies that refuse to do anything when I click remove and confirm. Just brings me back to an unchanged notifies page. Tried all that you did also but no change.

The title of this should be "Worse Queue System, Fewer Gamers To Get A Card" because that's literally what this does. You're letting people who've already bought cards buy more so the people who haven't gotten even one yet have even more people in front of them AND you're forcing us to only be in 2 queues rather than signing up for as many as we can so we have a greater chance of at least getting something. Both of these things mean fewer people will actually get cards, since they'll all be going to people who bought cards already and we can't mitigate that problem with multiple queues anymore. This is the worst thing you could have possibly done.

It can't be more people since new joins are closed but I see your point.

EVGA keeps saying for more gamers. What if we aren't wanting this thing for gaming? believe it or not but these GPUs are very powerful pieces of tech. Some of us are not gaming, mining or scalping these things. Some of us are NEEDING to use them for work, making an honest living and all that. These GPUs have made CPU rendering obsolete and there is the whole AI learning capability built into them which is my guess why miners want them so much.

Anyway, gamers do not need them, they want them, there is a difference believe it or not if your a special snow flake. People like me need them so we can make our production faster and better. Me and some others are waiting in line to get a GPU behind people who have already gotten one or more just because they WANT it.

Re: Better Queue System, More Gamers to Get a Card! 2021/10/06 16:50:55 (permalink)
So, a couple of people have asked but I read the whole thread and there was no answer that I saw.

"Can we 'undo' a notification deletion?"

I really don't care which 3080 I end up getting and I'm honestly not in a huge rush to get it, but of the 8 non-watercooled models to narrow it down from, I learned from this thread that I happened to pick two that are unlikely to be released ever again, the 2 non-ultra models.

So here I am with 10G-P5-3883-KR and 10G-P5-3895-KR in queue (from 1/8/2021). Which I picked because they were the oldest in my queue so I figured they would be best to keep.

I had a 3897 and 3885 in there as well, which I added on 4/3/2021 when I realized that, since I don't really care which one, may as well try for them all. It's real frustrating since these cards are minimally different in spec and price, but apparently vastly different in production, which is largely unknowable. This thread separates the Ultra vs. non-Ultra, but the email doesn't. I was focused on the XC3 and FTW3, figuring that THAT was the important part of the designation, not the marketing flair at the end.

Also...I just notice that I wasn't moved to the KL version...I should have been, right? Too many SKUs for functionally equivalent items.

So, CAN I undo my notify removal? And if so, should I?

12G-P5-3655-KR - 6/1/2021 - Are these still being produced / sold? After reading the entire thread it sounds as if those of us who have old / KR models on the queue (which are still showing on EVGA's store) are probably just waiting for something that will never be fulfilled? I don't care at all about mining, I just want to play some semi-modern titles with my friends at 60fps at 1080p without having to drop the resolution to a blurry 1600x900 (or less) and having to use low settings across the board just to prevent the sub-60 stuttering that gives me severe migraines and nausea.

I, like many others, can't access all of my notifies.  I have tried multiple browsers, clearing cookies etc.  All I see is 1 card listed on my notifies page and I signed up for several.  Naturally the one listed is not the one I want.  What do I do?

I misunderstood the notice of reapplying for the cue to get a card. I thought I was supposed to remove the ones I didn't really want and only keep two cued up. I realized I didn't have the correct cards picked and removed them all from the cue. Im guessing I F****d myself in the @** now for doing that since I can not re-select the cards?

3655 is very unlikely to drop.

The question has been asked and not answered.  Not certain the process is reversible... at least I anticipate that the answer is no.

Some of these weren't converted to -KL and I suspect that is because there are no plans to continue production in the near term.

Sorry that the news isn't so good.  That 3897 is really more likely to drop sooner than any of the others even with the time differences.  Unfortunate.

Try what @staypuft suggested and if that doesn't work, try F5 (refresh).  If you get the "Server Busy" screen, open another site and then reopen the EVGA site.  You'll still be logged in.

Just to try, I went to My Notifies and had the same problem.  The site is getting hammered right now and if you can, you might try early in the morning.
