BF4 Directx error

Downloaded" Last Stand" expansion inside Origin,installed plug in.....my audio started looping(in and out) every two seconds and received an error message when I tried to repair expansion in Origin.  Error:A redistributable package(directx)was not installed successfully,setup cannot continue(false). I have looked around and tried to find a fix...any ideas?Is this an Origin prob or microsoft.

    try installing directx from battlefield installation folder.

    Yes.. just uninstall/install direct x to latest version.

    1st thing I did before posting,I put a Microsoft update on hold and forgot about it,once I rebooted all was well.Just FYI,my audio started skipping every 2 seconds that was the 1st sign of trouble.Saw alot of BF3 players with this problem awhile back.
