I just completed by purchase. I am still torn about it. I do want this card since I am sitting on a 1080 TI but that price point is oooff. I may keep it or sell it at cost to my co-worker, he would love it for Microsoft Flight Simulator. 

Sell your old card to offset because the used card prices are whack. Looks like I can sell my 1070Ti for $500 less fees for a card I bought in 2018 for around $300

I think most of us will have moved on by 2022, or gotten on the 4080 lists.

No hybrids today, that's a bummer.  Clock is ticking on that discount...  
But the FTW 3080ti jumped by six minutes?  Watch that one catch up to the hybrid queue, that'd be unexpected.

What worries me is that now there are more 3080/3090 models and I don't see any increase in GPU production due to the semiconductor shortage. 

The reality is the 3080Ti was created in part to "compete" with the 6900XT on MSRP but in actuality what is really happening is that there's a chunk of 3090 dies that have enough defects to not qualify as 3090's but good enough to be a 3080Ti which is netting NVIDIA a LOT more money per die than if those dies were put in a 3080. So the 3080Ti literally a binning process to maximize revenue for NVIDIA.
 
Especially when NVIDIA is only using 1/2 the RAM compared to a 3090 but only two more RAM chips compared to a 3080.
 
My belief is the 3080Ti will simply extend the 3080 shortage

lol.  It sucks to be on a 3080 list.  I fully expect NVidia to drastically gimp the 3080 volume in favor of the more expensive 3080TI.  I also fully expect that the cuda core count was based on their evaluation of what cuda count that 90% of the non 3090 wafers would bin into so they could maximize the 3080ti volume.  I'm still in the que for a few 3080's and have backorders for them as well and I have every single expectation that I'll never complete those purchases.  By the time they are available, we'll be to close to the next gen launch for it to make any sense.

Oh and I'm betting on nVidia releasing a 3080 super b/c, hey, they can get $300 more for up to 5% better performance.

Same… I got in within 40 seconds of the queue opening for non elites…. And I’m going to have to wait until next year even though I was first in line 🤣

Tensor, yup. Actually on at 545 am pt but was overloaded til about 720. Finally got logged in and signed up for a hydro copper at 0728 and the other at 0742 on 06/03

Ready for my 6 months of wait time. See ya next drop.

It took me 2 hours of constant refreshing to get through to the site, before I could click auto notify on a 3080 TI. My email from EVGA came in at 8:53am, but I live in MST, so if I change that to PT is that actual 7:53am???

I believe all times are under PST, since EVGA is in California.
