No stepup or prior for 980ti owners?

If you are outside of the 90 window, no.

Firt video doesnt work, says it cant be found. I think the link broke itself. *corrected the link, still says not available.

Did you run this in firestrike, heaven, or any other benchmark aside from oc scanner?

EVGA GTX1080Ti Founders Edition + EVGA Hybrid Cooler.
BEST COMBINATION!
It's nice when you buy premium graphic card and she could offer you good performance up to 3 years.
My GTX780Ti from beginning of 2014 will be replaced now in 2017 - 3 years life time.
I'm not sure what to do with mine, to keep as backup or to sell and invest in new hardware.
I have old EVGA GTX580 as backup as well, if I need something to give me picture on monitor.
I could get 200-250 euro for my card.

Hello all,

Does anyone know when we can expect an overclocked Hydro version of the 1080 Ti from EVGA?

There will be one at some point right?

Thanks.

What's your guys plan for trying to snag a Evga 1080Ti on March 10th? Any tips? I wanna grab one before they are sold out and going for 800+$. I'm new to PCs and want to get one before they are sold out forever. Thanks!

At first, it will be tough to get one so don't sweat it. Wait, you'll get one eventually. Similar to the 1080s. They are everywhere now compared to when they first were released.

Does anyone know if the FE cards you get from EVGA are exactly the same as what you would get from Nvidia? I ask because I'm hoping to use the step up program to get one and I figure that's what EVGA will make available.

Hmmm, should I step up to an FE 1080TI or sell my current card and buy an AIB 1080Ti later down the road?

For some reason FE cards tend to overclock really well, especially under water. I'm planning on stepping up then getting a hybrid kit from EVGA to cool it. I'm just waiting for EGVA to add it to it's step up program.

Yes, they are the same.

Literally the same as in the cooler, plastic molding, packaging, etc?

I've never manually overclocked a video card, is it difficult and/or time consuming? Doesn't the FE and all Pascal cards have GPU boost built in?

it is pretty easy with afterburner. First you max out power and temp limit slider, then move memory and core sliders and watch for artifacts on heaven benchmark for a bit. Then you can play with the small amount of voltage allowed to be added but it hasen't helped much so far . I ussaly move about +25 or 50 at the start then once i see some type of graphical glitch i go back 50 or 25 and move in 5 or 10 tell i see a graphical problem and, if i see artifacts ect i go back down double what i was moving up. So say i went up 10 and hit a artifact i then go down 20 to make sure i am stable in other things .(most times going up or down 5 does nothing and the card moves in +-10 on the core)Then I usually play some overwatch cranked up to max with render scale to 200% as it seems to be picky about overclocks.Just make sure you *don't click start with windows in afterburner untill you make sure its stable*. there are some good youtube videos out about doing it if you need a visual look at how to do it.Hope this helped in some way

Oh, ok. Cool, I'm currently using Precision X OC. Is Afterburner better?

I like afterburner because they have a voltage/coreclock curve you can set up ,and the curve usually ends up getting a little bit higher core speed. But evgas xoc works fine. I am hoping the acx coolers show up in the step up. As i would much rather have one of them over the stock blower types. I only have till like april 10th to start my step up so we will see if they come out soon or if i just end up going with a blower one

hoping the performance embargo is lifted on the 9th as id love to see some bench marks before they release. But maybe the embargo ends like at 11:59pm thursday

Just talked to a nice amazon rep, was told they will send me an e-mail first moment the 1080 ti 's (all models) go on sale to pre/order, kinda sucks for me because I'm locked amazon using my 550$ worth of gift cards on my amazon balance. As soon as I hear from them I will post here immediately. Also grabbed my EK Nickle Titan pascal block off newegg, their last block :O

I would also check around the release time as the Amazon rep could end up forgetting and with how fast Nvidia's pre orders have sold out on the 1080 and 1080ti it will be a mad dash.I just need step up to show up so I can get in line not in a supper rush

Thanks makes me wonder if I cannot get on from amazon on release day, I might be better of just buying a 1080 and trying for the step up, but that may be a longer wait wont because of the Que. I dunno we will see hopefully these next couple day. another rep said look between 6-9th but take that with a grain of salt.

I've been told the same thing by amazon reps about 2 or 3 times and they've only ever followed up once, and it was like 2 days after I had discovered on my own. They don't really care, in my experience. I'd make sure you check on your own.

Also, those waterblocks are sold on newegg, but through EK arent they? So either way you could still buy through EK's website and pay the same price. I just bought 2 blocks and 2 backplates from them for the 1080ti at the same prices on newegg. The $18 shipping is a killer, though.

Step up also adds shipping both ways so if you can just buy it off Amazon it may be better. As I doubt the step up que will move very fast for the first little while

I cannot comment how safe this site is but I'm using it for this release.     https://www.nowinstock.ne...ards/nvidia/gtx1080ti/
I have made an account and set it to browser updates and updates stocks every 30 seconds

Re: Announcing NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti 2017/03/06 17:51:38 (permalink)
I'm really torn on what to do. I just bought my 1080 FTW Gaming about 3 weeks ago before the price drop. I have until the 19th to return it for a full refund or hold on to it and wait for the step-up. I have 72 days left for that. My main concern is will it go on step-up within that 72 days(I'm assuming it will almost for sure) and will I even be able to step-up my FTW Gaming at all(not so sure) . I'm fine with stepping up to a lower FE or SC if that is the only way since I'll be water cooling anyway. I don't mind waiting in a long line for the step-up since my 1080 runs almost all my games just fine on my x34, 3440x1440 @95Hz. And I don't mind getting a full refund and waiting on the cards to get in stock since I have 2x 780 Ti's with blocks still attached to hold me over. Any thoughts/suggestions?
I'd rather do the step-up but I need to know for sure my FTW Gaming will be eligible for at least an FE or SC Ti and within 72 days. Do I take that chance? I've never used step-up and I've heard conflicting stories about whether I will be able to with my card, even if just to an FE Ti.

I'm really torn on what to do. I just bought my 1080 FTW Gaming about 3 weeks ago before the price drop. I have until the 19th to return it for a full refund or hold on to it and wait for the step-up. I have 72 days left for that. Any lower tier card (1080 variant in this case) is able to go up to the reference design above it (1080ti in the case).

You have lots of great options since you do have backup cards you can utilize. I can not tell you which way is best, as it comes down to a personal decision, but knowing that you have two strong cards as a backup is a good thing.

Just know, step up can sometimes take longer than just grabbing a card off of the market.. never buy from ebay though. Stick to approved retailers.
