Is there going to be anymore chances to pre-order? By the time I got off of work, they were already gone.

Please keep in mind that Auto-Notify emails are sent in the order received and depending on the product there can be many emails sent and this along with the fact that every mail server/service works differently, sometimes it can cause delays.  Overall I have talked to many customers in the past helped by this feature, but as Ab1987 said you may also consider following TeamEVGA on Twitter as Jacob does usually try to notify the community whenever possible.

On B&H FTW3 page is up and listed at $800 and expected availability around May 11

I was wondering if B&H was going to be offering a pre-order for the FTW3, but $800.00??  That is 8 bucks cheaper than my EVGA pre-order total which includes the nearly 60 bucks of 7.75% CA Sales Tax!   No deal there for anyone ordering from EVGA out of state! Hardly a deal for us here in California either!

I previously purchased all of my components for my gaming PC from B&H last year because their total price was significantly cheaper than anywhere else I shopped that wish list, but I have noticed over the last several months that they are starting to sell products ABOVE MSRP instead of their previously competitive pricing.  That is a disturbing trend!

I will often choose B&H to avoid our extremely high California sales tax (Almost 8%), and with their free shipping that can add up to some significant savings on more pricey purchases.

But B&H is no longer going to be a viable option if they continue to price gouge like they appear to be doing lately!  For example...  They are selling the new PS4 Pro for $420.00 instead of the $399.99 MSRP they had previously been selling that console for.  And now they appear to be charging a $50.00 premium over EVGA's MSRP for the FTW3 1080ti?

Not cool!

Hi,

Sorry to hear.  I recommend clicking Auto-Notify so that you can be notified when more cards do come in stock or you can follow us on Twitter as mentioned previously.

That sucks!  Sorry to hear that the screwed up eShop system cost you your pre-order!  I lucked out and was able to actually pre-order my FTW3, but it really did come down to timing and pure dumb luck.  I received the confirmation email 30 seconds after I completed the purchase, and my pre-order is listed in my account here under (Order History/Pre-Orders).

I may have succeeded where others failed by just being patient and waiting for the pre-order page to actually load after clicking on the pre-order button graphic.  It literally took just under 5 minutes for the shopping cart page to load, with the FTW3 listed along with the ability to complete the checkout process. I still had a page crash just before the final submission, but fortunately my Safari/Mac browser retained that page's contents in my history with all my previous progress, so I could quickly complete the final pre-order process before the stock was sold out.  A lot of people had the same crash and were not able to recover their progress, and were forced to start over from scratch or worse, they couldn't get the shopping cart to load with the FTW3 actually listed in the cart!

In my case, I was likely seconds away from getting the last one available! Based on the time stamp on my invoice, it was damned close to the moment the FTW3 stock sold out!

EVGA really needs to hire some real web development experts and build a retail site from scratch that can actually handle the load demands most of their product release/pre-orders generate.

Many EVGA fans including myself have been waiting well over a year for this card to finally be announced and be made available for purchase.  To have your one chance to pre-order a first wave FTW3 destroyed by forces totally outside of your control is about as frustrating a feeling as you will ever experience.

Hello Chris!

Thanks for your feedback!  I'm sorry I was left feeling that way too.  Even though I was one of the lucky ones, several of my friends were not.

But I am sure everyone reading this thread appreciates hearing your side of the story and your good news about future pre-order opportunities!  I am of course thrilled I was able to grab one of these cards yesterday, but as I said, the experience felt more like playing a slot machine than actually ordering an expensive piece of hardware from a major player in the industry.  ;)

I'm glad to hear that all of those who got locked out of ordering yesterday through no fault of their own will indeed get a second chance soon. Hopefully by then, you guys would have overhauled your eShop, determined where your performance bottlenecks were coming from and reworked all the broken bits that caused all this hair pulling frustration 25 hours ago.  :)

Thanks again for responding, and I am glad that you understand my criticism is 100% constructive, sincere and relates to what I know must be a huge disappointment for a lot of eager EVGA/FTW3 fans who failed to complete their pre-order completely due to your web site's load handling problems!

Cheers.

Hi again Chris...

If I could change the subject slightly to a specific of the FTW3... Can you comment on whether or not the FTW3 card is using a custom PCB?  Most of us are assuming that it does, but considering the very high marks the Nvidia Founder's Edition PCB has been receiving from respected review sites after tear downs does beg this question more than usual.  The FE 1080ti PCB has been praised for its level of top of the line, best in class brands of over built components would tend to reduce the need for a custom PCB in some of the board partner designed offerings.

I haven't been able to determine the FTW3 PCB design question by searching the web.

Thanks in advance!

Honestly, everyone can answer this question.

Yes.

The stock card is 4.376 inches wide and 10.5 long

The FTW3 is 4.512 inches wide and 10.6 long.

The stock card has 7 vrm and the ftw3 has 10 vrm.

The stock card has one fan header. The ftw3 has 3.

The stock card has 1 temp sensor. The ftw3 has 9.

The stock card support one light color. The ftw supports full rgb.

Hi EVGA, Ive got a preorder running through the Australian website.

As Ive never ordered locally before I have some questions,

1. Do we get the same batch as the US customers or are we going to be screwed and get it a fair amount of time after US release?
2. The prices are in US, but as its ordered off the local website, can I assume any import taxes are already handled?
3. There is no indication of shipping charges, what will they be?
4. If some of these answers Im hoping to get from you does not fall favourably and it ends up far too expensive, how can I cancel the preorder?

Thank you.

Yup, back up. I tried to order but got an error message that I already ordered 2. Huh? Turns out my original order yesterday that gave me an error and no email confirmation DID go through after all. Well, looks like I'm set then. I wondered if I'd go SLI and the powers that be answered that question for me.

This is great news for those who got locked out by the system yesterday!

I just checked myself and the FTW3 is still listed as available with the pre-order button clear as day!  I am also not seeing the long load times and delays I was seeing yesterday when I ordered mine.

Looks like just an additional week of waiting for the May 8th ship date is the only difference.

Hope all those who want a FTW3 will be able to grab one now!  :D

Nice work EVGA!  Nice work!

Not cool!

paying 50$ tax isn't that bad, look at the fact you also got a 20$ instant rebate. so around 30$ extra for tax, free ground shipping and the free game... still worth it IMHO.

Living in Canada I am probably going to have to pay about $150 at the door. Still likely works out to be the same price if I waited till it hit Newegg.ca but I'm sure I would have to wait twice as long to get to order one within Canada.
