Zuhl3156 I recommend a BR to Xantac for finding and posting the informative video that should answer the OP's question and solving his delemna. Post #2: https://forums.evga.com/HELP-with-LED-Lighting-on-my-1070-FTW-m2678900.aspx#2678916 I'm curious to see how well this thread works if at all.
This thread use to work well, until people stopped posting in it. It still has great potential, as long as people make use of it.

I think it's a great use of a video but the post itself doesn't do enough to really rise to blue ribbon status. Had the user provided a link to download the software and walked done a simple walkthrough of how to use the software to change lighting then a link to the YouTube video it would be BR worthy as soon as the person responded saying thanks for the help or it's clear the post addressed the original posts issue. I hope this kind of helps people understand what makes something BR worthy is the post itself a link that supports the post really is going to help me give out a BR but I can't just give one out to a four word post to a YouTube video.

Plus we don't give BR's for someone else's work. Quoting someone else doesn't cut it in most cases.

As stated prior I've been subbed since the beginning so as much as I think this is awesome I think it's time for EVGA to up it's game a bit. Clearly as you go round the web there are tons of Forum out there. Most have a rep system of some kind many much easier than this BR system to use. It's impossible for everyone to know about this thread and way to many folks who are deserving get no credit where credit is due. My favorite is at Overclock dot net (OCN) every post you make can be rewarded a plus rep by simply clicking the plus rep button. Anyone can +Rep your post except yourself. In the same way as BR's appear below our avatars, Rep count appears at OCN. Not all +Rep's IMHO would deserve a monetary reward but many do if OCN handed out such a reward. In the very least it's a nice way to thank someone and a source of pride for those who receive them. If we had a plus rep system here, seems like a simple 2nd step to review all +Rep's to see if it rises to the level of a monetary reward where this thread would remain relevant. Bottom line I think this would be a positive step in the right direction for all EVGA forum users. Change is, sometimes good.

So you are saying to Drop the Blue Ribbon altogether? What is the Money Amount that OCN rewards Members if any and how is it given out? I still wonder why "Reward points" are not used and why are they still listed if not used anymore. Other Members have said to add a "I Like" Tag but never head anything about it since.

No keep BR system but like OCN there are unique Rep and Special Rep. Unique comes from any given user by the click of a button an Special is awarded by admins. For EVGA one could come from any user and the other could come with a monetary reward by an admins. I believe all start out as unique and only admins can elevate to Special. The other good thing about OCN's system is each member's profile logs all +Rep unique/special with a link to the post which makes it easy for admin review but remain private to everyone else. Great when you want to point to something and help somebody out without having to type the whole mess over again. OCN has no monetary award system I'm aware of.

I think this thread should be kept near the top so new people know that it exists. Please use this thread if someone has been helpful to you, but has not yet been recognized with a BR.

I can't remember for sure, but it may have been a sticky at one time. There is a link to this thread in the "ultimate starter-thread for new members" that is stickied. I just don't think this is something that a lot of people are keeping in mind. Also, when someone is helpful, the thread creator is able to mark posts as helpful, which can also help to direct a mod towards a possible BR worthy post (or series of posts).

OK Iif you see a post that was made that you think is Blue Ribbon (BR) worthy --- [listed as Ribbons under your Avatar] --> use the report post feature, lowest status, ask for review for BR, make a brief statement about the post # and why you believe it should earn a BR [ Sample of report post for BR --> post #16 solved the OP problem, please review for BR] Mods have an Endless supply of BR to give anyone who earns it Its just hard to find all those good posts without the help of the EVGA Forums Community pointing them out to the Mods How do I get EVGA Bucks? https://www.evga.com/evgabucks/Blue RibbonsA forum post that is helpful to another member, answers a question, or when a member reaches a milestone of some kind can all earn a Blue Ribbon. A Blue Ribbon will not only show you have helped the EVGA forum community, but you will also earn 2 EVGA bucks per ribbon. If you see a forum post that should earn a Blue Ribbon, please PM a moderator to let them review it.
