Which vcore reading is most accurate on the z790 dark? Vcore or vrout?

I'm trying to undervolt and the difference in the readings are very different. 1.12v on the vrout and 1.16v on vcore. I'm running the latest 0x12b bios

Where it just says VCore only in the bios is the one you want then what you want to do is keep your voltage around 1.35v so set it to "adaptive" then set it to 1.345v and do a negative offset of -110 to -120 should be enough, but you will have to play around with this to find the sweet spot for your cpu.

Also, make sure you turn off "core isolation" setting in windows 11 as if you dont any vcore setting you set will be ingnored and finally also set the vcore pwm frequency from 500 to 400 and save and exit and you should be good to go!

Also, locking all your cores so there all in sync will help too. For example, I have a 13900KS so I locked all my cores to the real speed of the cpu which is 56 (5.6 ghz) and then applied the settings above with the vcore.

Which reading is more accurate through for what the cpu is actually receiving? I'm targeting 1.16v at 5.5ghz.

Depends when the cpu is calling for more or less voltage, the voltage will go up and down depending how mich the cpu is asking for.

Download hardware monitor and look at the vid max voltage for the cpu and that will give you an idea how mich voltage your cpu is pulling at any given time depending on what task you are running.
