The AMD fanboys have been saying for the last few months that the console vendors are throwing cash into AMD.  Seems like their lack of ability to produce a product that people want to buy is at the heart of this issue and the ability for folks like Microsoft and Sony to continue to support their cash drain will only continue so far, as they will eventually stop throwing money at a losing horse.

If there are only two horses and one is dropped then we dont have a race. Technology wont grow and Nvidia will toss high prices at us again.

Im shocked that after all of the Xbox and Sony units sold and that crazy lite coin demand for r9 cards AMD is still having money issues.

Its too bad because they have some great ideas and I feel like their new products are finally solid.

It ends up being bad investments and trying to constantly play catch-up. They have also had a issue with a higher RMA with the 200 series than nvidia 700 and 900. They have also fone alot of research into dead end areas or just stopped for no reason. The contract for spacex is one such thing. AMD was researching a chip to compete stopped research threw SpaceX a consumer chip and it didnt meet requirements and rejected. AMD threw a tantrum about it saying that noone looked at their card during review process. AMD is probably making money off the consoles but just bad money management. In the end that is probably why the CEO was fired and replaced. Whether the new CEO can recover AMD is yet to be seen.
