Just as feedback, to @EVGA_JacobF

It would be great in the near future for other ACX coolers to have RGB color control! Maybe for the next Maxwell refresh cards or ACX cooler 3.0! I am sure everyone else would agree!

How cool are the cards? Temperature wise with the ACX 2.0?

Re: ACX 2.0+ Cooler for TITANX 2015/06/03 17:02:03 (permalink)
I just got mine today and installed it, and the temps are actually worse than before :\

Before: idle @30C  Load:80C (Witcher 3) with custom fan settings I'd be at 68C
After: idle @49C  Load:80C (Witcher 3) with custom fan settings 64C

So idle temps went up, and only difference was the little drop when using custom fan settings. Idk if I'm gonna keep this cooler on here, I'll keep fooling around with it.

Sorry, just saw your post.

Before the new coolers, top card idled at 32-33C with load 70-71C in this Corsair 900d.
With the new ACX cooler, top card idles about 29C and load has never been over 63C.
Max load temp on the bottom card is about 54C so far.

It's a big improvement for my hardware. Don't know how others will fare. Need a case with a lot of air flow.
Hope this helps. Sorry again for the late post.

Re: ACX 2.0+ Cooler for TITANX 2015/06/04 08:49:41 (permalink)
Further feedback for EVGA and @EVGA_JacobF:

I’m really pleased to this new ACX 2.0 cooler for the Titan X as well as the water cooled AIO with the backplate.

I had read an article that Nvidia was no longer in favor of using backplates due to their increased heat in SLI setups. I can’t see how that would happen (more metal = more cooling). Another reason given was that with the extra 6 GB of RAM on the Titan X, RAM chips needed to be placed on the back of the card. I’m really excited to see that EVGA continues to offer backplates in order to protect the delicate PCB of the Titan X as well as the cooling benefits.

I’m very much in favor of multi fan coolers and water cooling of GPUs since they keep the GPUs running cooler than the references coolers and are easier to set up than custom water loops (in addition to being cheaper than the Hydro copper variants of GPUs). These coolers are also quieter. In other words, what’s not to like?

Thanks again to EVGA for making these new cooling options available to us. I hope that they will continue to offer such solutions for future GPUs too.

One question, would this Titan X ACX 2.0 cooler fit either of my GPUs? I have an EVGA GTX Titan (from 2013) and an EVGA GTX Titan Black SC (from 2014). I already have backplates fitted on both. Apologies for the slightly off-topic question.

Thanks in advance for any advice provided.

I thought the PCB was different on those cards meaning that the design of the current ACX wouldn't work without some modifications.

Hi CoercionShaman,

Many thanks for your response. That's a shame since I really like these ACX 2.0 coolers (they came installed on my GTX 760 and GTX 980). In addition, these coolers are 2 slot coolers rather than 3 slot which a lot of the after market coolers are. I don't have enough space in my chassis or the necessary PCI Express slots for 3 slot coolers.

Thanks very much for your confirmation that these coolers won't work with my older GTX Titans. Have a good weekend.

Same PCB as the Titan X minus the 6 memory modules on the back of the card.

Can't guarantee it, but I would be surprised if they didn't release the cooler as it would pretty much only require that they change the badge to say 980Ti.

I guess if you're in the EU or US just wait. If you're elsewhere in somewhere like Australia, like me — I don't think they're ever coming.

I'm sure they shifted production to making them for the 980ti for now. I should have sold mine in the market place instead of sending make to EVGA. I have two back plates that is new if anyone needs them. :)

I had all of this lined up and decided to return the x's for the ti's.. Kinda wish I kept the x's but I like the extra cash I have now.

So as long as you have decent airflow these are good in SLI vs the stock blowers?
