HI guys (and gals),

I have a GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+ (EVGA Part 04G-P4-3975-KR), can it handle three 2K monitors?  (2550 x1440 27inch monitors @60hz)

No gaming, just spreadsheets and the like.

My font quality is horrible on my 1920 x1080P (which I know it can handle) so going to higher res. Question is, can this GTX970 power it?

Thanks,

Alfred

Oh yeah.  Easily.  You may have issues if you try to game on 2 1440 monitors, but, outside of that, yeah...they can do it.  No problem.

For gaming situation is different, for 2560x1440p need TITAN X or 980Ti, at least card with between 4-5 GB Video memory.
Closer to number 5 now when we are bombing with nice stuff.

If and when you get your three monitor setup in place, post a few pics to show us...

    Wrong.

GTX970 can 2k pretty well with most games.

If the system is only used for office work environment then you would not need a gtx 970. A gtx 950 or even a GT 740 will be enough since spread sheet and data entry work does not need a powerful GPU. The only concern I would have is the type of displays you are using. If both displays are say... the "Korean" 1440 displays using Dual Link DVI. Then you would need a video card with 2 dual link dvi ports. Many of these displays from Korea do not work well with adapters and would require Only a dual link DVI port.

Ok guys, three 27inch, 1080P monitors not problem.

    1 42 inch 3840 x 2160  monitor no problem at 60Hz (which is all I need as I'm not a gamer).

    Here's my updated question:
Can this GTX970 (EVGA Part 04G-P4-3975-KR) handle the 4k monitor and two 27inch @1080P

The 4k monitor is setup as HDMI,(4k @60hz) the other two would be display port to DVI cables.

It would take me major moving and setup and if there is an opinion that it will work, I'll try it. If not, I'll just skip all the furniture/cable/stand movement.

Is that a "not a chance in hell it'll work" answer?
