Jacob, any pics of it with the LEDs lit up? Or perhaps pics of it installed on an actual Titan X?

As mentioned previously your warranty will not be void provided you do not damage the PCB when installing the new cooler. In addition you must keep your original parts. Should an RMA be required you would need to ship the item back to repair with the original cooler mounted (as it was when you bought it).

As easy as any other paste. The one you have to be very careful with is Liquid Metal...

From that round up, ASilver 5 is recommended as well. I will probably stick with that.

So, checked the instructions for installation. I assume you use the M2.5 screws supplied with the cooler itself for installation rather than recycling the original screws that came with the card? It's not 100% clear on this. Are they the same? There's a nut in the product picture of the screws as well, but I don't see where that should be used. I already have a backplate, so I guess I can use those screws??

I was thinking about getting one of these. I really want to see some numbers. I think the stock works great providing you crank up the fans. I think my fan is around 77% and runs Witcher 3 at 1440 (DSR) at around 68 Celsius.

So I'm curious what the net gain of temperature cooling in degrees is? The way I see it, if you are going to spend aftermarket money($70) on cooling the card, you should go water cooling. The stock blower is pretty amazing at keeping my card at 65c under full load(1290mhz) all the time(I have K- boost on) and my fan only gets to maybe 70% speed.

Or is there some other benefit I am missing such as quieter function? Someone please let me know what I am missing! :)

Re: ACX 2.0+ Cooler for TITANX 2015/05/26 18:20:41 (permalink)
First time posting, just ordered one of these for my Titan X mainly for the noise reduction.

I find my OC can be stable up to 1450 MHz or so but power limit at 4K seems to limit my potential OC.  The ACX cooler is advertised as using less of the TDP.  Anyone have any idea how many watts this equates to, and would it translate to any real OC benefit (e.g. 20-30 MHz)?

@EVGA_JacobF
From the 980 Hybrid/Titan X thread it sounds like a Titan X equivalent is imminent. I assume that will get better performance than the ACX-2.0 cooler? If so, I will wait for that to use on my Titan X SC. Any idea on a firm release date for the Titan X Hybrid cooler? Thanks!!

I can't wait to see some reviews on this. Mine does not get hot, tbh. It might get 68 but I keep my fans at 75% and that's with Witcher 3 1440 dsr with hairworks off.

Re: ACX 2.0+ Cooler for TITANX 2015/05/28 10:56:52 (permalink)
hello Jacob, sorry, but you don't say anything about power consumption and for dB? Most quieter? In the store I can see ***All performance data referenced from the GTX 980. Not % for titan x.

Another thing, i push my titan x with stock cooling and blackplate at 1450 MHz at 87 degrees full load and stable in the Witcher 3 and many games with a 570 for physx but the limit is clearly the 110% of power in bios why not increase at 121% for sc? Now you sell a best air cooling solution, but anything for best overclock. I don't want flash my bios if i lost my warranty.

Like that :
evga sc modified:

- 350w TDP at 100%
- 425w max TDP at 121%
- Voltage max locked at 1.250v for any speed at 1342+ MHz - no changes needed in PX.
- No boost limit
- Default SC clocks (+127 to core)

I just got the cooler.  It came with a thermal pad preinstalled on the heatsink.  Would you recommend me removing the pad and replacing it with the Noctua thermal paste that I have or should I just use the pad?
