It's been a blast having this program to help offset costs for so long, and I have to say my thanks to each and every person at EVGA who has made this possible for so long.

I'll keep folding, but it probably won't be the same 24/7 that I've had as a habit for so long now. Time to get some proper gaming in!

I on the other hand will be mining - I make $10 a day min on a 3090 (in fact today is was floating around $17)
(if that rate would hold all month thats more than $500 a card- $20 is $600)
 
so in a way this is better than evga bucks - 2 cards ...$20 a day min... do the math -3 if you count the 2080ti for $5 a day min
but i do like to game so at least one of my rigs will be down for some time each day gaming
 
if you think this is unfair -i plan to donate rigs to just doing Folding once my mining operation is in full gear
I can write off the expenses to do it as well
 
 
I knew this was coming with the low margins from Nvidia on prices - no room left for meat on profits
I thank EVGA for what they did and for how long they did it

Oops, guess only visiting this forum lately blinded me to its demise. Still, discussion of cryptocurrency belongs in a separate thread. I too dabble in it. Hope we dont lose too many folders to it.
I'll try and keep folding every so often for the team or the bjorn3d team for Scott.

Haven't been around in a while due to now folding hardware, and other more pressing things in life. Want to say thank you to EVGA first. You all made me spend way to much money over the years lol. But it also lead to a LOT of fun with contests, friendly banter, and trash talk.et a lot of awesome people on here and from other forums during Chimp challenge, Folding M@dness, Time Zone Challenge, and other contests. Thanks again to EVGA for the support and dedication to F@H. Wish I had been able to contribute the whole time. Started folding with a couple 8800 GT's. Moved to GTS450'S, then 470's and a 9800 GX2. After that moved into an SR2 for BIGADV units with a pair of E5620's and a 760FTW. Got an X99 Micro when EVGA launched them in a contest and met Scarlet when I wanted to get an X99FTW for 3 way SLI and 3 970 FTW's. Got rid of those and got 3 980Ti Classifieds. Sold all those when 10 series launched and went to a 1080Ti that did most of the production of 3 980Ti classifieds lol. Eventually had a problem with my X99 system and donated it to team members. That was about about year and a half ago, and I haven't been active since. 8ve only had my SC17 laptop and couldn't risk it failing. So, sorry for missing the last bit of all this, but thanks for having me and everything you all did for F@H.

Sad to hear of this, but had many fun contests here and learned a lot.
Crypto seems to be the easier money now days, so losing $10 a month evga bucks, not that big a deal when I can make double that in a day on crypto. I can't wait for evga to release the new Q1 NVIDIA CMP HX Ethereum Mining GPUs
seen on the Nvidia site.
Folded for other reasons and still will here and there. It would be nice if I could get credit for the Dec points that never got put on this site, but is clear on EOC stats I folded 50 million not 4 million.

Sad to see this go but I still want to send my thanks to EVGA for all those years being on the forefront, using it as a recruitment tool to get many to fold, including myself.

I am curious about the forum sections for folding /DC\ crunching. Is there any plans by EVGA to change or eliminate it? I hope not, because we have a team that prefers communication and help here versus the folding forum. 

Most of the forums that change or get eliminated do so because they go weeks or months without any communication at all.  Gaming was a good example, it was fairly active, and then most games made it so that EVGA couldn't host their own servers, and then servers went away, and then the communications stopped on that thread, and then 6 months went by and no one had posted other than to ask if the section had died.

I understand that we have until March 15 to claim our EVGA bucks. Does this mean we have until March 15 to spend the EVGA bucks, or will they still be available to spend after that date? I would like to spend my EVGA bucks on a 30xx series card when they come back in stock.

Thank you again for your dedication to the Folding@Home project. We set a more challenging goal this year, and the team not only doubled production, but tripled production by the end of the year!  
 
Unfortunately, Folding Year 13 will be the final year of this program supported by EVGA Bucks. This is not to say that EVGA will cease supporting the EVGA Folding@Home team and EVGA will continue to support the Folding community initiative. However, the EVGA Bucks promotion for Folding@Home will come to an end on February 28, 2021. Folders will have until March 15, 2021 to claim any outstanding points.
 
For everyone who has folded, thank you and we appreciate all the time and effort you have spent over the last 13+ years recruiting more folders, assisting thousands of members to get started folding, and bringing attention to the very real benefits of using PC hardware to save lives.
