Hi Folders,
Thank you again for your dedication to the Folding@Home project. We set a more challenging goal this year, and the team not only doubled production, but tripled production by the end of the year!
Unfortunately, Folding Year 13 will be the final year of this program supported by EVGA Bucks. This is not to say that EVGA will cease supporting the EVGA Folding@Home team and EVGA will continue to support the Folding community initiative. However, the EVGA Bucks promotion for Folding@Home will come to an end on February 28, 2021. Folders will have until March 15, 2021 to claim any outstanding points.
For everyone who has folded, thank you and we appreciate all the time and effort you have spent over the last 13+ years recruiting more folders, assisting thousands of members to get started folding, and bringing attention to the very real benefits of using PC hardware to save lives.

Really sad to hear this. EVGA is still the best gpu company around though.

Thank you for the update, and all of the support over the last 13 years of folding. While we will lose many people from the team that only did it for the bucks, we will keep many people that have always been a part of the team because they want to see it continue.

Hopefully we see a lot of people continue to fold for the EVGA team. It's sad to see the EVGA bucks go away though.

Thanks EVGA for the good run and support for the folding team. We all got into it for different reasons and the bucks program was an awesome way to help this team continue and grow. Many of us will continue to fold and crunch for the betterment of humanity. It’s the right thing to do, now more than ever.

I can't even begin to guess the total number of EVGA bucks that they've given away... More importantly, thanks to an amazing folding community that has supported one another along the way. You all are the reason I've stuck with folding this long, I couldn't imagine continuing to fold this long without you guys/girls. I'll continue folding as I'm able as long as my hardware is viable.

+1 As sad as this is, I have to echo troy's sentiments. One question I do have is: Is there a time limit on using the earned bucks, or is the date given only to claim said bucks? THANK YOU EVGA, and community.

I went from minnow to current status Because of the Help of fellow EVGA members
Same for me. I was stepping up a GTX 9800 to a GTX 460 and came across EVGA's folding promotion... I went from a minnow to a slightly bigger minnow because of the help and generosity of fellow EVGA folding team members...but 10+ years later I've been more or less folding 24/7 (usually on dated hardware), with an occasional break for personal reasons. As I said before, the reason I stuck with it is the incredible folding community here. Hopefully I've done some good for humanity along the way

That's unfortunate.. Guess after this, I'll end up switching teams, guess I'll go to taking my folding to making a little bit of money on the side... LAME. Was happy to fold and make some EVGA Bucks to put towards an upgrade.. =/ Was good while it lasted.

That is unfortunate to hear and I am sorry to see the program ending. But I'd like to thank EVGA for offering the program as long as it lasted as it was good for both the community and especially the Folding@home project itself.

the program was what made me aware of folding, and was a fun goal to shoot for every month:)

Thank you EVGA for the 13 years! I think I was around for 10 of them.
I will be shutting down my folding for a bit, not because of this decision but I'm moving soon. I'll check back in when I get settled in.

Safe travels Tank, best wishes for you and your family. Your folding family will be right here. I for one will continue to fold for this team right here. I did not join the team for the folding bucks although it was a nice perk when an upgrade is needed for folding. But, I would rather those employed by eVGA to have a solid future that is not jeopardized by a pandemic. I do want this company and these forums to be my go-to place for upgrades and advice for the rest of my life. I would happily give up the earned bucks in my account to help out as well. In it for the greater good, in it for life!
