There's your pictures in the thread :-)

The jagged edges are very noticeable on the forearms.

I haven't paid any mind to that section when I play, but I have never noticed this even when I used a 960, a 980, or my 980tis. I will look at it tonight.

Thanks a lot for the very fast answers. I believe CSGO is the most noticeable example, but I'm confident I've seen it somewhere else. Let me look at a few games to see where it was.

http ://imgur . com/a/CXYQO You can see it very lightly around the cleavage area (looks like shadows are layers upon layers) and very jagged on the door. Concerning the door one, it only appeared when I came closer and in a cascade fashion.

Have you tried to turn down the shadows even slightly to see if that could fix your issue?

Yup, regarding CSGO turning shadows from max to lowest actually made the "layers" on the arms disappear, yet the ground shadows are blockier than ever.

What driver are you using, and did you use the "Quick install" version when loading the driver, or did you do a custom install with only the graphics and physx driver?

361.75, quick install. Previous drivers showed the same issue.

Did you happen to optimize anything with GFE? I ask because GFE is horrible. It may have changed some global settings that you didn't realize were there.

Go into control panel and remove everything NVIDIA related. It will require a restart or two.

When you have everything removed, reload the driver with a custom install, and remove everything but the physx driver. (You can not unchecked the graphics driver, so it is staying enabled also).

Go into steam and validate your csgo files.

Then go into game and redo all of your settings and see if it helps.

My best guess that it is poor optimization from the game devs.  It shows on the forearm in my game as well, but it isn't as bad as yours is.

Indeed, well thanks a lot for the input. Currently doing what you suggested earlier. Seems like this is a 900 series issue as a few friends with AMD models and 600 nvidia series didn't report anything of the like. I really appreciated the help, have a good one :)

Have they actually been looking for it in game? I never paid any mind to it until you mentioned it, lol.

I definitely never noticed before they made sure to include super high res gloves... you know, those were more important than hit boxes working, lol.

Haha that's for sure. Still, those are some damn nice gloves and anything new is a plus (except the R8 at launch week, oh god) :) The issue isn't game breaking or anything; I still have massive amounts of fun but once I've spotted something abnormal (as small as a LONE green pixel on my monitor, which there actually is) I can't unsee it. Gotta hate that lol.

What card do you have? I also second that the 900series could be plagued by gremlins.

I personally don't use the R8 but I watched the videos while I was away from home and it was absolutely ridiculous at one point.

EVERYTHING IS NORMAL ON FIRST PICTURES, EVERYTHING IS NORMAL!
That's not problem as on some rear cards, here everything is perfect and details are nice, you see that on head of players, bombs, weapons, details on distance are nice, even shadow is nicely done by developers here compare to some other games where shadows are terrible...
but that's game design...

Re: [970 stock] CSGO Jagged Shadows 2016/02/12 12:20:51 (permalink)
Every irregularities here are errors during game design, nothing else.
Broken cards mess 70-80% details on game and will never show so nice details as fingers, face, building in distance, etc...
everything will be simple, unfinished rendering, etc...
Here if something is wrong that's mistake of people who design game and can't be better.
Broken card will not show only bad details on hand during all game and everything else OK.
Someone didn't finish that hand nicely and could be specific copy of game, all copies but not graphic card.
You didn't saw what mean really broken card when all details in games are like only 70% finished rendering...
Like you have slow internet and before open completely picture....

I guess, such a shame it concerns mostly (if not only) the 900 series.

Xexe it's not, people search for perfection and with series 700 and series 600 and constantly one number of customers talk to other people Better wait next series, this Maxwell is broken or similar things but real problem is because developers hurry to make profit even before games are finished and problem is because some small number of chips have some problem in silicon probably, but that's so rear and very visible.

And this is Maxwell, picture is perfect...
EVGA TITAN X - Fallout 4 and Battlefront 5K

Battlefront is like reality.
