I just uploaded a new BIOS a few minutes ago, which I've been told should help with the SGX issues.  Please give that a try.

This BIOS update seems to have fixed the issue. Cyberlink's advisor tool is all green now and I've played one 4K bluray already. If I find anymore issues I will speak up.

Thanks guys

Can confirm:

Note that this is with all windows updates applied as of the date of this post and the latest Intel ME Components installed from the EVGA downloads section. No SGX platform software was installed manually; it was installed via windows update. I am running PowerDVD 18 with the latest patches applied and SGX set to "Enabled" in the BIOS. I have an nvidia GTX 1050 also installed however I switched the output over to the on-board Intel HDMI port using Windows Key + P to set the output to *just* the intel output and uhd blu-rays play just fine.

Thanks to the help of everybody involved, here's to hoping that it doesn't break again in the future and that we see this DRM nonsense slowly phased out over time.

Thanks for reporting this. Kudos to EVGA for the new BIOs which resolved the issues.

I just wish both Intel and AMD motherboards had this functionality available.

And you've installed the latest Intel ME for the motherboard?  Should be the same release date as the 1.02 BIOS.

Yes. So should it work with this setup?

Re: 4k bluray? 2018/08/28 16:49:06 (permalink)
Haven't tried H370 Stinger (it still runs i7 8700) but tried Gigabyte Z370N-WIFI (8700 -> i5 8400T).
The CPU change caused a similar problem like this: SGX invalid. Reinstalling SGX Platform 1.9.100.41172 & PowerDVD 14 OEM can't fix it. I kept Windows 10 1709.
Finally I fixed it by upgrading BIOS to the latest version containing new microcode.
I'm now trying to revert the BIOS to see whether it is the new microcode to fix it or not (since I don't like the Spectre patch which decreases OS speed)

(Edit)
I confirmed that it was the issue of microcode.
i5 8400T @ Z370N-WIFI
F2: SGX invalid. Unable to playback.
F5: SGX OK & Playback properly.
I think it is better to have a new microcode on H370 Stinger too for this issue.

Indeed, thanks for pointing out. Since I installed the microcode update provided by Microsoft last week (KB4100347), the SGX is working for me on i7 8700 with the H370 Stinger.

So I've just installed my new graphics card and now SGX is working but HDCP 2.2 isn't when it was before and audio pathway. I am currenlty hooked up to my Montior with my Displayport cable to my GPU would hooking up to the monitor from my GPU with HDMI fix this or is there something i need to tick in the BIOS to allow my Onboard Graphics to be utilized?
