Hmm... will it run Crysis.

I think the better question is will it run Metro 2033 smoothly.

I get between 18 - 35fps average on Crysis at 1920x1080, Max Detail, No AA

Metro 2033 its anywhere from 8 - 25fps.... 1920x1080, Max detail, No AA.

I know I'm just on a single 260 but it's a point that Metro 2033 is worse than Crysis is performance wise.

I'm going to pick it up this weekend. I've seen dozens of walk through videos with stellar graphics. I am hoping that it wouldn't put a dent on my system. If it does, I'll have to drop the res down a bit from 2560 X 2048 till perfection is achieved with maxed out settings.

Why not SLi your GPU?

finally someone that is honest.  i hate people that say they can run crysis "maxed out" on a single 260.  i get around 50-60 fps maxed out at 1920-1200 vsync on.  my guess is that 2 480s will be able to do that, and 3 would never go under 60fps with 32x anti on.

Poor pics to be fair. You need to use auto-focus or a shaky hand setting lol

Anywho...what's the point in blurry pics if there's no benchies? Have I missed those as the pics mean nothing on their own?

Money is tight is why, though it is possible I might be getting a second 260 or a single 5850 for free from a friend of mine that works at a computer shop. He gets lucky deals working thier.

yep I am honest with my settings, but maybe those that can max Crysis on a single GTX 260 run a lower resolution than I do? or have the CPU overclocked, cause I don't

I cant max out crysis @1080p with 2 GTX260's.
My view on MAXED OUT might be difrent then some others tho.
No AA does not = MAXED OUT to me.

well AA is personal preference to the user, some prefer all visual quality but don't mind the jagged edges, others decide to lower the resolution and enable AA

It all depends on the game too, some don't look that bad without AA at all using high resolution and alot of out door visuals, but others that have alot of buildings or where multible textures meet together, then AA needed.

they mean maxed out on their 640x480 monitor, three 285's had one heck of a time at 2560x1600 with 4xaa and max texture. I would love to see these 260s that people claim can do this at 60fps, the 285s only got like 16 average.

Crysis is one of the few games where AA is nearly entirely pointless. 2x is fine, because 90% of the objects in the game are not effected by AA, but rather use 'Edge AA'. So that's what I max out (too bad it only goes up to 4x). That gets me ~70fps on Very High spec @ 1440x900 on 2x 260s. Good enough for me.
