99% certain that it will not be. Every previous Kingpin version uses a unique PCB.

I think there was a Hydro Copper version of previous Kingpins put out after the aircooled or hybrid cards came out on previous launches. But the EKWB FTW3 block or the FTW3 hydro copper block is a dead end.

The NVLINK bridges are in completely different locations on the FTW3 and the Kingpin.  100% completely incompatible blocks.

Nope. Not from EVGA or the other AIBs with pre blocked cards. No factory water blocked cards from any of the other AIB cards yet (Asus, Gigabyte, Inno3D).

(One exception Asus pre blocked cards were available and first batch sold in New Zealand, but not aware of anywhere else. Besides the PCB on the Asus card is lacklustre and does not make the best of custom loop water-cooling. Not something you would consider if asking questions about the Kingpin.)

The Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme Waterforce is sort of at the FTW3 level if that is what you are looking for.

Previously Galax did water blocked Hall of Fame cards that were gaudy competitors to Kingpin level cards. Not seen anything from them yet. Just cost cutting, low spec cards.

I heard Optimus would be launching a waterblock for the KPE. Are there any other possibilities that have surfaced?

->No further information at this time.<-

K|ngp|n shared this image. Feel free to ask questions, but just realize what the very first sentence I put is. Take that as the most direct answer I can give until EVGA and K|ngp|n are ready to provide more information.

Never could find a WB for my 2080 ti KP card. Looked everywhere for something reputable but never found it. There was a batch of EVGA WBs for the KP 2080 ti initially but I guess it was a short run. Then I saw several posts about the quality of the EVGA KP WB. People were complaining it was quite poor. Don’t know if this has been addressed with the new product line with the 3090. Hope it has. I’m willing to try one if the problems were resolved, and I am still uncertain as to what the exact problems were with that block. Some indicated the issues were beyond simple flow rates through the block, but still don’t know exactly what that meant at the time. ??

Anything in the works from Optimus or EKWB or even stand alone HC blocks from EVGA?

I'm right there with you, I check Optimus' twitter and everything. I'm hoping they give a heads up if a product will be coming so we will have a fighting chance.
But everything I check is dry for even hope.

Optimus said on Twitter they are making a KPE block and plan to have a prototype done in February. I am unsure the time delta between prototype stage and actual orders / mfg though.

    "Optimus Advanced Water Cooling" right?

Don't send me to the retirement home just yet! I barely use twitter. Super cool though thank you! I've actually been looking for that for some time now hah, I should have known there was an advanced search!

Twitter only fits my needs if I want something, like when I was looking everyday for the Kingpin News:

With that I will start checking Optimus 3x a day :D

If you follow Optimus_WC twitter, they regular answer that they're designing and still planning to release a Kingpin Water block. Recently they were up in the air about including compatibility with the NVLink, and they went with yes. They have asked a few users if they're looking for active cooled backplate but users are usually like oh I didn't know that was an option, instead of being like YES BRING IT ... because I feel the company is feeling out the demand for active backplates. (Definitely not hopeful there).

They regular tweet problems with receiving from their suppliers, and the epic demand for their FTW3 water blocks can't be helping. Currently they're sold out, but where before they'd be sold out in a hour, to in a few hours on Friday, to you basically can get one all day on Friday now ... I think t hey might have been available last Sat/Sun too, can't remember hazy... When the demand falls more for the FTW waterblock, I'm sure their interest in selling some Kingpin Water blocks will definitely grow. (Actually all their waterblocks are sold out except Blemish Foundation intel and Thread ripper regular and blemish.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed because I have their Intel Signature V2, and I was extremely happy with it. I could only imagine the stride farther their Kingpin Water block could get me. (I actually also have their Foundation - AMD water block, but it's not hooked up yet)

Sure would like to see the back plate cooled. Kingpin card is naked in Optimus FTW3 ultra box.  That is it home until I can get a water block for it. Glad to here Nvlink  enabled on blocks.

Looks like at at least another 2-1/2 months...

Update: We're holding off on new blocks today b/c Fujipoly pads delayed due to global shipping mess, we're making blocks and will open sales once we have an ETA. Also working on Strix and Kingpin blocks, they're looking epic :) ETA 6-8 weeks for strix, a few weeks after for KP.

Even though that's quite a bit out from what we'd like to hear, kudos to the company for at least communicating. I hate waking up everyday wondering is TODAY the day!? or is it still even coming? It does ease the stress by ten fold. I was checking every morning, midday, night time hoping to not miss the date. Not gonna lie, probably still will, but it will be a lot less stressful. I was holding off on a possible ghettoer fix, but I might give it an attempt now, to hold me over.

Looks like EVGA may beat them to market.  My current understanding for the KP HC block is mid-to-late April, so potentially only a few weeks out.  I really was looking forward to an Optimus block, but given the current situation and their track record for delays I may just grab the EVGA block.  At least so I don't have to have the hybrid rad hanging off the side of my case.  Can always grab an Optimus block if they're going to be as compelling as the FTW3 block.

https://twitter.com/optimus_wc    I would  guess from this add + 10 to 15 more weeks on top of that. Kingpin HC block should make it to market 1st.
