I just installed my 3090 FTW3 Ultra and I'm getting max 1950 boost clock on the default VBIOS/clock settings.  Is that about what I should expect?

EVGA guarantees 1800 on that card. Nvidia's GPU boost can take it higher - more details here.

I turned on the switch on the card to OC. botted up and was at 1950. I ran the oc scan got 112 gpu 200 on mem. Pretty sweet from just the precision x1 scan. I know it can go a lot higher manually. Looks like I scored a good one! I just can get over how amazing the card is and how well it preforms in ultra setting in games at 5140x1440 with ray tracing on.

Click offset of +180 and Mem +1000. Looks like my card isn’t too bad!

Looks like I'm now seeing max of 1965 with default non OC settings.  How's that compare with what others are seeing with default settings?

    Yup that looks good.

Jacob, are you referring to my default non OC max of 1950-1965?  Does that sound ok?

So far I've boosted without touching power or voltage to +1000 mem and +160 gpu. Running perfect atm.

Who do I send the thank you basket at evga too?

Hey Guys I just installed my EVGA RTX 3090 and it is staying clocked at 1800 and not ramping down at all. Is this to be expected? My old card EVGA GTX 1080Ti would stay at lower clocks when not gaming.

Mine goes down to 210 MHz at idle desktop.
Did you install the PX1 software and get a firmware update yet?

Maybe you have a program running that thinks it needs it?

Here are the top causes of why a GPU would run at full clocks at idle...

#1 You're running multiple monitors. Fix: Enable mutil display power saver using nvidia inspector.
#2 Your machine has a virus. Fix: Scan computer using malwarebytes.
#3 One or more programs running in the background are using your GPU. Fix: Perform a clean boot of windows.
#4 Power management mode inside the nvidia control panel is set to prefer maximum performance. Fix: Set power management mode to adaptive then reboot your computer.
    #5 Running a resolution of 2560x1440 @ 144Hz. Fix: Change refresh rate to 120Hz.
#6 K-Boost is enabled inside Precision X. Fix: Disable K-Boost.
#7 Shadowplay is enabled inside geforce experience. Fix: Disable shadowplay inside geforce experience OR completely uninstall geforce experience from your machine (highly recommended)
