I installed this new version of Px1, and then updated my drivers from 456.71 to 457.09

custom fan curves seem to be functioning normally

    thank you for the fix!

Installed.  On 457.09.  Fan curves are working good at idle and through a quick stress test.  Everything else seems to be working normally as well.  Will update if anything changes after a gaming session later tonight.

     Thank you.

I still have the issue that the fans on my FTW3 3090 ramp up to max speed every few minutes without reason while displaying a fan speed of 20k rpm.
However, I noticed that I only have that problem while playing Anno 1800.
All other games I tried so far don't cause the fans ramping up like that.

You cannot have Precision open when running TimeSpy, if you have OSD turned on, it will crash when around 3/4s of the way through the loading bar on the first test.  The benchmark is the problem, it will crash if Precision is open. Set your OC, set your fans, and exit Precision.  This is a known issue with the benchmark itself, and isn't something NVidia/eVGA can solve.

This is actually a good idea to do in general for all benchmarks, as Precision can reduce your score when open in the background.

v1.1.1 is working for me Except for one issue.

The Fan Curve Control selection "unselects" itself after every restart. In order for the Fans to follow my curve I have to re-select the Fan Curve Control each time after opening PX1.

Thanks for the clarification! I couldn’t remember if I had it in the background before the update so this is good to know. It’s my first build since 2011 so aside from being a regular viewer of the usual tech suspects on YouTube I haven’t really benchmarked or tweaked things much beyond proving my i5 750 and GTX560 combo was atrocious in 2020!

Just got my 3090 FTW3 Ultra installed.
    Installed this version of Precision.
Dumb question - where did the LED control setting go?
Would like to change mine to static blue instead of this rainbow.
It used to be in the third tab, all that is there now is Power.
Also it is only showing me GPU temp?

Edit: Disregard, I did it over again and realized I had not installed the LED sync. This time got a bios flash too.
Should be good to go I think.

There does not seem to have been any progress on using the 3/4 small LEDs to show temps on the 3090 FTW3 Ultra. I would really prefer using those rather than the RGB Bar..

Looks like todays driver update (457.30) broke fan speed reporting again even on the new version. Have a 3090 FTW3 Ultra

Poor guy(s) who just fixed it gonna be mad.

    *Edit*

On the latest drivers (457.30) I was also experiencing frequent reproducible crashes. The Superposition menu, when in a drop down (switching to custom and then the resolution setting specifically) would crash the drivers every time.

I did a simple driver rollback, and that fixed the crashing, but Precision is still not reporting on 2 fans, even after reinstalling Precision.

Going to try DDU and clean driver install on the latest drivers, and then again on the previous .09 if that doesn't resolve things.

    *Edit 2*

I think my card is one of the unlucky defective ones. After running DDU and doing a new driver install (and restarting), running games/benchmarks is getting me a ton of artifacts. Going to contact support.

I think I have run across a bug.
I have set a static fan speed in Precision , all three fans at 39%.
Upon booting up to desktop, only fan three is running at 39%, fans one and two are at 0.

So I used Precision X to update the card, but I want to keep using Afterburner as I prefer it's monitoring. The fan curves still aren't working with Afterburner even after updating the card with Precision X, any suggestions?

It's a software application fix, so AB would need to be updated as well. They might have a new beta version out that you can try? I'm running 4.6.3 beta 3, but it still only shows 2 fans (I don't think AB has ever shown more than 2 fans for any card).

For the life of me for some reason I cannot get OSD to work.

Make sure you have the OSD in the lower right corner selected (a blue bar). You'll also need to have items under HWM selected to show on OSD, each reading that you want.

    Question on closing Precision X1.
Ok so I know if I set a static fan speed for my fans, I can close PX1 and the fans continue to run at that static speed I set.
If I apply an overclock to the card, and then close Precision, does that overclock stay applied? GPU Clock, Mem Clock, Power and Temp sliders?
