Hi everyone! Just got my 3080Ti and of course I want to push it to the limit!

How’s everyone’s clocks?
Edit:  See my last post for stable clocks!  Raytracing games make any overclock unstable, so dont trust just synthetic benchmarks!

So it crashed in cyberpunk after an hour on 2025mhz avg. Knocked it down a bit and war zone etc. was stable after 3 hours. Final clock is about 1995/2010 for all games unless something fails again. +1000 on memory though.

Anyone else have their cards yet?  I am +60/+900 for what seems like my final stable specs. (1995-2010Mhz boost)  I can push +125/+1000 on benchies but I advise everyone to play Control with RTX Ultra or Cyberpunk with RTX Ultra and let it run for a few hours.  Utilizing all cores will crash your pretty little benchmark overclock quite easily :)

I just keep the temp locked to the power limit. Max out power at 113%.

I did finally get a crash in CP2077 at +135 core. Took several hours. Rolled back to +120. +1100 mem.

No, no reason to do that. Not enough power for it to matter. Better off limiting clocks so it doesn't jump up in a menu or something and crash.

Hard to say. What's stable in 3dmark isn't necessarily stable in games for several hours. And the voltage frequency curve moves up in 15 mhz increments, so always us an offset that is a multiple of 15. 90, 105,120, etc...

OTOH if you're just going for benchmark scores then yes keep going up until it crashes.

Only concern I have here is those high temperatures.. Is that too hot?

The boost algo v. temp is interesting.   Try to keep the core as close to 50c as possible to allow for max boost.  You may find lower power limits yield better results if you can keep the temps down.  This what makes the hybrids shine -- that extra cooling overhead allows for higher clocks at lower power limits.

I'm hoping I get a good ftw3 card like my buddy. Benchmarks we were running 2130Mhz avg core and had the highest score in PR until earlier today. So we held it for 3 days but the guy that beat us is only like 13 points ahead at 75MHz higher clock. I think we have a shot at reclaiming the number 1 spot. I know I could do it if I could throw it on my loop.

But the card was rock solid while gaming at ~2050Mhz @ .825V.

    Interesting scenarios🤔
Can you guys post your temps and power draw as well?
Also to those with instability at stock clocks try to down clock the core and memory to run it stable.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

+100/800 is my max stable in Control with everything cranked to the max, +115/1000 in benchmarks.

I just keep the temp locked to the power limit. Max out power at 113%.

I did finally get a crash in CP2077 at +135 core. Took several hours. Rolled back to +120. +1100 mem.

    Did you touch the voltage?

No, no reason to do that. Not enough power for it to matter. Better off limiting clocks so it doesn't jump up in a menu or something and crash.

this may have helped me gain another 15mhz. I was 100% voltage and I put it to 0% and increased to +90 core instead of +60 and so far so good. Seems like additional voltage doesn’t really help stabilize at all and only adds power/heat.

Still testing in CP2077 but thanks!

It's because there is less headroom for overclocking at higher voltages. The real way to do this is flatten out the VF curve above where the card normally boosts to.

Here's my writeup from a while back. A variation on an undervolt that retains the VF curve below the cutoff.
