I use about the same except I lock at the lowest voltage point and use -500 core. Same hashrate. About 195w.

Nice! I'll give that a shot, I'm still figuring this all out. How are your temps?

80C mem mining ETH. Core is like 44C.

Hello all. Is this card having the same power issues that the 3080 NON Ti FTW3 Ultra has? I mean the 3rd connector limit to half of the first one... Can anyone please show a gpu-z in a more than 400w power consuming to check the power input please?

It's exactly the same. 3rd connector is about 75w max. 2nd is the hottest of the 3.

Right, and around 60W or so is what I’ve observed from the PCIe slot itself. Makes for around 435-450W altogether. Rarely have I ever seen above 440W though.

You’re cancelling an order for this card because it’s capable of achieving 99% (100% on a rare occasion) of its listed power rating despite that most games/programs don’t utilize that much power more often than not? By the way, it doesn’t have the same issue the XC3 has/had.

As a reference, the Strix someone tested for me averaged 430W out of its 450W, except it averaged a little less voltage than the FTW3 so they're about the same. But let him do what he wants.

After seeing what my current 3080 ftw3 ultra does, power limiting all the time as soon as i overclock it (this including undervoltage), i really dont get how some of you dont understand why I dont want a card that does (eventually) exactly the same. This issue was discussed ALL over this and other forums, but you still don't get the problem. Just check and read other posts talking about the same. 3 power connector cards with 450w bios available, should not power limit at 400w. What's the part you don't understand?

- The 3080 Ti uses a different VRM controller.
- The screenshot below shows that the chip gets more power to it than the Strix does
- The screenshot below illustrates that the FTW3 gets a higher average voltage than the Strix
- If you run timespy, the Strix will average whatever clocks you have set at 1.049v
- If you run timespy, the FTW3 will average whatever clocks you have set at 1.065
Make sure you do not buy the Strix, Suprim X, FTW3 and other 3080 Ti because none of these cards hover around and sustain the TDP they say they can. Strix below And here you go, the MSI Suprim X having the same kind of behavior. https://www.overclock.net/threads/official-nvidia-rtx-3080-ti-owners-club.1791823/post-28830183 If you want a card to run and average it's max TDP, do not buy a 3080 Ti at all. You are going to be very disappointed with the 3080 Ti line if you expect all of them to average their max TDP because they won't. They average 20-3W below it unless you run the fans, RGB and case fan headers all at 100%. I'm not trying to convince you to buy a FTW3 BTW, I'm trying to convince you to not buy a 3080 Ti at all because it won't meet your criteria. But you can flash the Galax Bios on them and it will draw 500W if you want and any of these 3 cards. Just set the power limit to 45% on that bios so you don't blow a fuse. Here is from a user pulling 500W from the Galax bios. https://www.3dmark.com/pr/1153248

slyraptor Well its clear as day your card performs better than mine. Mine just cant even hold a stable 2100mhz no matter what I do. are you on water. Did you custom water cool the ftw 3 card?
I'm going to tell you, somewhere on this thread I did +195 and +1250 and got like a 21950 Timespy GPU score. But that's not what I'm stable at. I found that +120 MHz is stable for every game. Sure +165 for some games but screw that, I prefer complete stability. So that has me at 2055-2070 in games. I know you hear about all these people with crazy OCs, but what they're actually stable at is probably much lower. You're not really missing out on much. I hope that makes you feel better.
I am running with +90 on my core through X1 and sitting at 2055/2070 in games with mine currently. I haven't started running through memory increase yet but I feel like the boost speed is sitting in a sweet spot. Glad to hear I'm in the same range as you. I might try to run the memory at +1000 tonight see if it holds and clocks the same.

waiting for my Optimus block but wanted to check the card on air so threw it into my current in-progress build, did a TS run with PL and temp max limits, +0 voltage and +120, +750 https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/64698449Seems pretty solid as a first go. Downloading Heaven, Endwalker and others right now and will give those a run and start tweaking clocks.

My 3080TI FTW3 is able to do +1000/+125 stable. Starts soft-crashing around +150. When I put an EKWB block on it, I'll see if the lower temps can improve this a bit, but I doubt it. Either way, 20k Timespy g-score is nothing to shy at.

GTXMan Just installed Optimus block and quick initial OC of +120, +800, max voltage and PL. I think I got a good one here. 21772 graphics score Avg clock 2084 Max temp 40
27th globally for 10850K + 3080Ti in total score and unless someone has a higher graphics score than me outside the top 100, looks like I landed 4th overall. I'm spending the rest of the evening actually playing games and will leave that OC up and see how high temps get. As for overclock I feel like there's definitely headroom here I'll resume OC testing and try the Galax 1000W BIOS on Sunday and post more info.
Please share your vbios version sir

Hey all, I just got my 3080ti today. I was wondering if there's away to get it to not boost so much. I kinda want a semi gaming desk. Alittle fan noise is okay. But when I play GTA5 or something I feel like it's trying so hard to keep cool. I had a 3080 ASUS TUF and it never sounded like this (I know this ti is much more powerful). I have everything set to default. Mainly seeing if I can get a setting or something to keep it cool but not be so loud when I'm trying to play a game.

Try reducing the PL to 90, give the core a little bit more freq as well as the memory. You can pull power and add some on the core and memory and get more perf w/ less heat. Really depends on the quality of silicon you have. To reduce heat, reduce PL, as well as work on getting better airflow in your case. Need great air flow on the case.

Yeah I can see reducing the PL to 90% and moving the Core/mem up it. I have 3 fans intake on the front and I got 2 fans on the bottom intakes facing up towards the GPU. Also I have a Bequit Dark rock for my CPU. Would it help if I 2 fans on the bottom has an exhaust? I was thinking about getting 2 more exhaust fans for the top of my case. By the way, I have a Lian Li Lancool2. I'll take any fan configurations I can get. I'm not the brightest when it comes to airflow. I can get an Vertical mount kit for it. I will if that's gunna make it cooler for sure.

If you open your case wide open with all panels off and temperatures drop a lot, then yes more fans will help. If it does nothing, more fans won't help.
