nothing showed up for me for about 4 or 5 minutes after, even force refreshing it, not sure how it works really.

I got in at 6:00:05am for a 3070 FTW3 Ultra. Hoping it won't be too long. Also, I hope when I get the email that it's not in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping.

E-mails are only sent between 9AM-6PM PST. If you follow Jacob on twitter he usually says when they are sending some E-mails.

From what I've seen, the 3070s going out today are the KL launch edition cards, the other models are going out following days.
 
So if you go a notify in on the brief testing the day before release, you'd also be at the top of the queue, even if that's a queue that won't be worked on til a bit later.

Yes, I received the notification on 10/19 at 12:19 PM EST and had the card in my hands on 10/20 at 4:00 PM EST (paid for overnight shipping). 

As long as it’s within the first day I think you should be good.

I think I read somewhere that people who ordered the special launch day version (the one with the xc3 and the tshirt) are getting theirs first. I set up auto notify for the XC3 ultra at 6:00:12 and haven't received an email yet.

That's probably it, though I really thought I had registered for the notify on the launch day edition (I distinctly remember the $499 price.) It might have been that my notify request didn't go through when I tried and the normal version worked when I tried it next. My memory of what was happening at 6AM while refreshing two other sites probably isn't too reliable.
 
It still seems strange that requests for the exact same card at a lower price + a free shirt added on top would have a higher priority than "normal" requests that came in earlier.

Mine was 08G-P5-3751-KL 10/29/2020 6:06:46 AM PT. I was searching all over for it until found the 3070 tab, hopefully good to get one. Thanks EVGA for having a real system in place, I haven't found any other site with same kind of system in place. New Egg said they have bot protection but Idk how when there site crashed, reloaded and all cards were sold out. 
 

Ha Just beat me, got on the 08G-P5-3751-KL notify at 10/29/2020 6:06:53 AM PT. Didn't even realize it was limited til someone pointed it out on twitter. First 5 minutes tried BB and Newegg but they started crashing out just like the other launches so kinda knew where that was headed.
