you have a much better chance with Best Buy than the shuffle. I will give you a tip I wish someone told me a long time ago for BB, even though they ship all the cards, they are allocated regionally. If you click on a card and it’s not available in your regions allocation, it will never let you get to the second checkout. Save all the cards you are interested in to the “save for later” file. When a drop hits, open your cart, all of your saved items will be there, add them to the cart and wait. I opened 3 tabs doing the same thing, 3rd tab finally made it to check out. Once you have a item in the first cart, do not refresh, refreshing will take you out of the queue. I had to wait 27 minutes from first cart to checkout.

sadly i cant sign up for bestbuy since i dont live in the states 

I think its sad that the we have come to times where we need to get really lucky just to have a chance at buying a card :/

How so? The bots can easily fill the queue unless there is some kind of advanced verification.

well makes me wonder how many bot accounts signed up on this thread just for that purpose

I was talking mainly about the queues open for everyone, like the current EVGA queues.
I don't think any professional scalpers will be interested in this Elite queue, too much work for quite small reward. If they have even 20 accounts spamming it will raise too much attention and they will probably get banned.

well theyre willing to pay 500$ for bots to scalp off of amazon while running 5 different proxies, im sure they can sign up a few accounts to get the latest and greatest 

What is the best way for sites to fight the bots?

Probably not feasible but physical limits on purchases (mailing addresses, billing addresses, payments uses [card # or paypal accounts]) and not shipping to PO boxes would help cut down on some of the issues.

i signed up for t he ftw 3 gaming instead of the ultra, and it looks like this card fell off the face of the earth.  DOh!

I think the EVGA Queue is one of the most refined systems we've seen for GPu releases. It blows systems like the NE shuffle out of the water. The closest thing to it in my opinion is the Best Buy US "queues" on drops, but even those aren't consistent.

Refined? A queue that literally hasn't given ANY cards for over half a year is refined to you?

The worst part is that people will end up hoping to buy any card, even an overpriced 3080ti that they don't need nor intended to buy because it will make more sense to pay 1600 euros for a 3080ti than the same for an overpriced 3080 ftw3 and other gpus EVGA is selling through other channels in EU.

I literally ordered a 3060 the other day. The queue does work, its just there is a LOT of people. I was in position 200 or so for a 3080FTW3 back in like Dec but more and more people hear about the queue list and add their info, so now I am like position 2500 5 months later..
For the 3060 I signed up on Feb 25th at like 10am or something so the cards are just moving at different paces but it is a great system compared to anything else.

Wouldnt it be better if it showed us our number in the queue? Even if it updated only once per week - that is still better than just randomly waiting for a miracle. A lot of people might give up right about the time when theyre about to get their chance to buy one.
 
I understand that it might not be in EVGAs best interest to show us how the queues are(nt) moving but still Id love to have some more transparency here.
 
I think a lot more gamers dont understand and need to understand that all businesses will always (unfortunately for us) prefer to sell to middlemen who buy hundreds or thousands of cards rather than 1 by 1 to us via the queue. That is also why I believe the queue is moving so slowly and we see the EVGA cards on Newegg, Amazon and other shops while the queue is basically not moving. There are people who entered the queue for 3060s like in the first couple of seconds and still didnt receive an email.
 
So yeah, this is what I think is happening - there are cards but the queue probably gets like 5 cards per week or so. I mean I wouldnt even mind it but still the lack of transparency is kind of disappointing.

no problem. They usually drop every other Thursday, so most likely the next drop should be the 13th. Times vary, last week the drop was at 4:30 pm EST. Make a account beforehand, you want to check out as fast as possible. And from what I’ve seen in the discord servers, it doesn’t really matter if you use the website, app or mobile site to score a card. Good luck!

It's not just preference, it's likely contractual obligation and certainly business sense. If EVGA screws them by putting its own sales ahead of retail partner sales, the retail partners will drop them. Right now, that's no problem for GPUs but what about everything and anything else? What about the future? EVGA would screw over itself in the future, all for what?

I agree, I just wish for more transparency about the queue. If I am the millionth person on the list then be it. If the queue moves by 5 per week then be it. I just want to know so I can act accordingly.

hopefully I can get my hands on a card soon!
