Anybody else having issues with the NV SLI bridge not saving LED color? When I do a shutdown or a reboot, the color goes back to green and requires me to open Precision X1 again for it to go back to the same color of the cards. The actual cards save their colors just not the bridge.

    Hi Daniel,

I tried what you told me.
Power down machine & Remove SLI bridge
Power up machine without the bridge and opened X1
Power down machine and reattached the bridge.
Power up machine (bridge is green) with the bridge and opened X1. The bridge goes from Green to selected color.
I then powered down the machine and while windows is shutting down the bridge goes back to green.

    No dice, whats next?

NVLink cannot save LED color to the bridge. The only way to do it is to set in PX1, then set the apply settings at startup.

Thanks for the reply Jacob. So that works on startup. What about if PC goes into standby, it changes back to green when machine wakes up? Also when you enable and disable SLI it changes color back to default green as well. Why cant you guys force the bridge to use the same LED color that's coded to the top card MCU firmware? I assume the bridge draws power from the top card and that PX1 changes LED from the top card connector?

It should keep color in Standby. Are you using S3?

I am. Also why does it change back to green when I enable and disable SLI?

Any updates on this? I see new version of X1 that came out today and MCU updates occurred on both cards. I'm happy to report the fan issues are now fixed. However the bridge turns back to green upon waking from standby, as the machine is shutting down, enabling SLI, and disabling SLI. Please tell me that you guys don't plan to leave this new NVLink bridge like this.

I have same problem but bigger one. PX1 is unable to boot my pc with saved settings (fan curve, led settings, power settings etc....)

For the resume issue, can you send over a picture of the info page in PX1?

When i reboot my pc px1 wont load profile(fan curve, led settings, power settings...). Everything is back on default. NVLink is green, cards white, fans dont spin. Im using PX1 0.3.6.

I have the same issues none of my profile settings will stay when i do a reboot, i can reload my profile on restart if i remember. LED's of my Two 2080's are fine but my NV link will not do rainbow and resets to green on power down. i just built this computer last weekend every thing is the latest downloaded from EVGA's site. I have done the firmware update to both cards and the latest drivers.

Super annoying right!!! Apparently there is onboard memory for the MCUs on the cards to save the LED color, but not the bridge. I really hope EVGA fixes this.

Any updates yet? Its been over 60 days. Every-time I enable SLI it goes back to green. Reboots back to green. Are you guys going to fix it or not? If you guys cant fix it since there is no memory on the bridge, will there ever be a new and improved premium version with memory?

I found that I can set the Color and save it in my Profile and it will reset back to the color after I start PX1 back up.
It still cannot save the Color as the Cards on a restart. I still do not allow PX1 to start with the OS and start PX1 once I see the Desktop. Not a big deal.

I have the same issue. The color that I choose only stay while LED sync is running. When you shutdown and start again the bridge turn on green and only after LED Sync is loaded the color change to the one that I've choose. GPU stays in the color choosen.

Is this fixed yet or ever going to be fixed? Has anybody been able to get their SLI bridge color to stay the color you set after reboot?

No. It's a design flaw. EVGA will need to make new updated bridges to fix the issue.

I would not go as far as saying it's a flaw but more of an inconvenience by design; something to consider for future versions of the NVlink bridge.
