Never had this issue until today after installing a new 2080 XC2 Ultra.
 
While in discord listening to people talk, If I minimize/maximize a web browser or program I got laggy audio.
I've tested this with music, youtube etc. and it olny does it in discord to my knowledge.
 
I'm also wondering if this is a coincidence, because discord had an update right after I installed the 2080.
or maybe it recognized the audio from the 2080 and installed an update.
 
I've also just notice spikes in GPU usage when doing this, usualy 20%-37% but I've seen it as high 100%
No gaming or video. but it's quick usage spikes.
 
I use PCIe Soundblaster Z
the problem did not exist when the 780FTW, or 780SC was installed.
 
It only started directly after installing the 2080, and Discord installing the update after the restart.
 
Just to note: there are no audio issues unless I minimize or maximize a program it activates a laggy popping sound.

I think I fixed the Audio popping.
I believe it was the DisplayPort -to- VGA Adapter causing it.
Maybe a ground issue or something.
 
I will start a new thread about this GPU usage on desktop apps which I thought may have been what caused the audio popping.

Sounds like a dpc latency issue.

You're using the wrong tool to monitor dpc latency. You should be using Latencymon instread of dpc latency checker.
